Nothing is 100%, but primarily left wing, because they are the least informed and the as always the ends justifies the means. Don't conflate "health care" with "health insurance." By law Hospitals MUST provide health care to the patient -- No Exceptions. Health insurance is just one-way, in which to pay for the health care provided. Others are self insurance, monthly payments, physician concierge services and *non-profit shared health care organizations such as Medi-Share and Prosper.* About 17% of all health claims are denied (UHC apparently was higher rate since instituting AI). Of those 17% of claims denied around 87% are reversed at a later date. Companies like UHC will deny a claim based on the information given to them by the Physician's office. Most of the time it is a lack of information that causes the denial and once updated the denial is reversed. I worked for a hospital in the Utilization Review department and it was my job to get the insurance company to reverse the denial and get payment made to the hospital. UHC faces a class action lawsuit for its use of AI in the approval/ denial process -- that's how grievances are settled -- not by a bullet to the back. Obama's ACA limited the profitability of health insurance companies. Under the ACA insurance companies MUST spend 80% of the premiums of individuals and 85% of the premiums of groups "on healthcare." If they do not those individuals or employers who purchased the policies "must be reimbursed" the difference. If the company you work for was reimbursed they likely will not tell you. This leaves between 15% to 20% gross profit for the companies. According to KFF the health insurance companies annually grossed $1,048 annually for those who purchased individual policies and $910 for those who belong to a group plan. UHC has 450,000 employees and out of that profit comes employee wages, benefits, payroll taxes and costs of running the business. This leaves health insurance companies with net profits that run between 3% and 5% annually. That's five-percent of $1,048 -- I'll let you do the math. Because everyone has to buy health insurance.

34:57 I paused to read this Marketwatch article because it sounded interesting- in my opinion you made it sound better than it is. You can’t get very far into it without coming to the conclusion that the authors are not intellectually honest. They describe Vivek as “a major GOP donor” and use the drive by slander of e.g. “As with his other appointments, Trump will not bother vetting Musk and Ramaswamy thoroughly” as though these were not known public figures with demonstrated principles and well-reasoned objectives.

Not sure if I have just missed your YT podcasts; however, very pleased to come across this one. I get your need to be on Substack, but you are behind a paywall, so important commentary goes quiet. Another media crisis today is important news being aggregated behind paywalls. Similar results to censored news. Very few people today - all struggling against inflation and chaotic economies - can afford to monetarily subscribe to each independent favorite site. They would soon be out of disposable income. You are smart - one of the best - see if you can find a solution to this serious dilemma. Of course, people deserve to be paid for their work, but it is also important for average people to be informed.

There is a deep irony that he listens to deep materialists like Andrew Hubermann, Jonathan Haidt, Richard Hanania. He subscribed to tactical usage of psychedelics to enhance his creativity (rather than have a toxin induced divine experience). He is in a hyper-materialist frame of living, yet when it comes to the value of human life, he expects others to 'spare no expense' for himself? He expect others to be spiritual for himself? In the materialist philosophy's everything is measurable. In the materialist philosophy there absolutely is a measurable value to human life. It is an ultimate hypocrisy and betrayal of himself to only value the spiritual value of humanity when it benefits yourself. Precisely why is your injury more valuable than the life of the CEO? Luigi's life isn't even over, at worst it's just encumbered by either a debt or a disability. Yet he's so full of pride and selfishness that his encumbrance is worth more than another person's life? This Luigi is a perfect example that even in the most rational, there is a natural limit to a person's ability to logically function. Luigi ironically disproves all of his own beliefs.
