The media was giving really selective quotes but refusing to release his full manifesto, telling people he's "anti-capitalist." Ken Klippenstein got the full thing and... there's a mild critique of the excesses of capitalism, nothing OPPOSED to it existing. Adam Smith, Father of Capitalism, critiqued it more harshly than Luigi did in Wealth of Nations, pointing out how income inequality and the rentier class eventually swallow everything up without guardrails. They're trying to make him seem like a radical extremist who wants to tear down the system. as opposed to a fairly normal guy, experiencing common circumstances...who performed a very extreme act. They don't want to talk about the systemic issues and how insurance delays and denials kill and cripple people.

There was a new CEO before the guy got shot
@lucariothegodboi17 күн бұрын
* He looks nothing like the guy from the security footage * His father owns a Healthcare company, which means he has great respect for the industry of "screwing the little guy when he needs help" * Neither anyone in his family or any of his friends have ever been sick enough to require Healthcare to survive, so there is literally no motive * No guilty party would ever be walking around with all of the evidence on them unless they wanted to be caught, which our killer clearly didn't because if he did he would have immediately gotten down on his knees, hands above his head until the cops came I'm not saying this is a fall guy per se; I'm saying someone should check to see if A) the McDonald's employee and this guy even remotely know one another, or B) Luigi has a history that would imply he would take credit for something he didn't do.

There’s no way he got such a tan and started growing a beard in a few days. They’ve definitely got the wrong guy.

I have doubts over whether he's the shooter. The shooter clearly had some firearms training if not was military because of the way they cleared the jam of the gun and kept shooting. How does a 26 yr old tech bro with no firearms training do that? Math ain't mathing.
@Noobsweetpotatochip17 күн бұрын
Maybe he's just TMC but better
@josephperez200414 күн бұрын
How do we know he has no firearms training? Anyone with the money and interest can pay for a private instructor. Firearms are big business in the US and people who actually care about the effectiveness of their usage regularly keep up with it.

Honestly, the evidence makes sense because a guy as smart as him probably snapped if he was willing to do this. He's a clearly smart guy living in a clearly stupid country. There's other ways to do what he did, but they're life consuming in their own right, have little reward in doing them, and at the end of the day he's not saying anything that we're not all jaded to anyway. if the guy he based his philosophies on couldn't change how people felt about it, he can't either. People will become jaded to it again and it'll just become another "oh, its such a shame health care companies are ruining this country" topic. Just like always.

Guys...can we PLEASE pack it in with the mario references. It wasn't funny a week ago and it's just fucking sad now. All the MArio references are the main point for me telling me that Americans still aren't taking this shit seriously, and are going to keep suffering under health insurance for decades. Yeah we didn't fix the problem, but we got all these Mario memes lololololololololol.

I keep seeing people talking like this whole event is gonna change everything. That people are gonna wake up and take action and do something to fix our country to make life better for the common man. LOL! Seriously!? No way man. Nothings gonna change. Everyone's gonna hoot and holler for a few days or weeks, and then get distracted by survival/entertainment/drama, and just forget about it all.

It took decades of small steps to end segregation. It took decades of small steps to reform police. This won’t magically change everything overnight, but it’s a chip in the armor. It’s a pebble down the hill. In 10 years or so after this happens a few more times, then things will start to change.

Its fine to call Luigi crazy. The man was capable enough to 3d print a gun but then left his finger prints and kept the gun. Im not saying the CEO didnt have it coming. But if he didnt reveal his face and cleaned up his evidence he really couldve got away with it.
