so a wolf pack has no leader then because the leader would be the alpha rather its male or not

A wolf pack is generally a family - the two parents (what most people would think of as the alpha male and the alpha female) and their offspring, who will eventually leave the pack to start a pack of their own. The whole "Alpha" and "males fighting for dominance of the pack" thing came from observations of unrelated wolves that were being forced to live together in captivity. It's basically like watching how prisoners behave in Alcatraz and then saying that all of human society is like that.

@@tzisorey You are right and wrong. Wolf packs aren't just mom, dad, and offspring. They don't always splinter off into their own pack. They can stay all together in a bigger pack, which is where issues can come up. Wolves almost mimic human family behavior in the sense that sometimes packs can "marry" together. Fights can come from this though as there may be multiple males trying to be the more dominant one. Most of this just depends on living conditions where they are. If they're able to comfortably live as a big pack, they'll usually stay as one (safety in numbers after all). If not, they'll splinter off sooner in search of food, shelter, etc.

@@Eventide215 Yup. That's why I said "Basically" - you can get aunts and uncles and cousins, and so on - generally depending on how much food is available to support a pack of whatever size.
