Regarding silly Billy. There's two references to this: one about this character's lore and one being personal. I'll give you the personal one. The personal reference is to a creator known as Divide. He was a content creator for FNF and was well known to the FNF community. He sadly passed away a while ago( don't remember how long ago). So the character and the animation/lyrics was also about Divide. Based on the lyrics, he was proud of us staying long enough to see his masterpiece come to life with this content.

seeing bf face off against a dark version of himself that comes out of a mirror kind of reminds me of Hellboy, as he did the same thing in his fourth comic, the one where he learned about his true destiny to become the king of all realities and lead the dead in a final stand against a powerful dark god. struggling to cope with this knowledge he attempts to avoid that destiny and it leads to him having a faceoff against a darker version of himself wich leads to him then becoming that version before reverting back to normal in horror of his transformation

Here's a small little lore dive into Silly Billy (who is actually named "Yourself") Canonically, BF is 7 feet tall, but due to his innocence, they made him small in the games. Well this version of Boyfriend, who is from an alternate universe, has no innocence. He lost his girlfriend (which is named "Herself") in a tragic accident, and went insane because of it, hence to what the lyrics are about (as well as a tribute to Divide. I love double meanings). He didn't change his clothes, bathe, etc. because of this, and has been on the run since the accident. Little did he know, what remained of Herself was in his mic, which was what the crimson red streak was during his lyric, "So stay awake just long enough to see my way!!"
