@@plymouth-hl20ton37 I beg to differ. A rat rod is never built that nice. Yeah you have a home built frame, very low but still very finished and safe. I have been into cars since the 50's and have 2 32's, 1 3window coupe and 1 32 roadster both on 32 frames and built hiboy style like the late 50's. I would be proud to have that model A in my garage..

This put a smile on my face. It's not exactly my thing being so low etc. But it shows you what someone can do if they put their mind to it, and that engine you can tell has some power ....but at the time has a nice sound where it's not too loud and obnoxious.....exhaust is spot on. I smiled from start to finish, Luis should be really proud of himself. That's a nice car, not a rat rod at all ( like the paint & tires ).

All of the time you hear people referring to "hot rods" as rat rods. This is out of ignorance. The term "rat rod" has become popularized and is best applied to wonky, esthetically displeasing, art cars that are rusted out hulks made out of junk by builders having few fabrication skills and little passion for true hot rods. All because of what the Shifters started back in the early 1990s,but built wrong. One legger rear end. Overly channeled, to the point where its out of proportioned. And what's this fad with building "semi" (loosely stated) traditional hot rods, and installing modern looking engines in them? I give it a 4 out of 10. I don't think one would ever see this in the Suede Palace.

it really looks goofy when the back wheels are higher than the body. Plus now you dont have a trunk.Its not a real car without a trunk, its just a toy. a RATROD toy. Yuck.

p kerit thanks for your kind words... the bucket seats are on rails and the floor boards were built with large storage areas behind the seats, I travel with a full tool kit, motor oil, trans oil, rags, torque wrench, jack, etc... there is a small space in the rumble compartment that is being turned into a small storage space, also not in the video is the luggage rack that mounts to the rear. It’s easy to leave negative comments when you don’t know what you are actually looking at isn’t it? If you have any questions feel free to ask. Oh I also forgot to mention the original gas tank is now storage also...
