Bantamweight Luis Nery took on Carlos Castro on the undercard of the Thurman vs Barrios Pay Per View from the Madalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nery scored a knockdown in the first round and seemingly coasted throughout the fight but won via a surprise split decision. Nery improved his record to 32-1 and handed Castro his first loss.
