I haven't watched this in a while, I forgot how bad it was. He was going down at the weigh in, Good Lord. Thing is, if it was a fix, he wouldn't have landed a few hard punches on Ortiz that hurt him. Maybe he's just incapable of enduring any punishment and then has the mindset of a quitter? Totally bizarre.

I remember Wilder saying that "Malik is the mind of a boxing genius, he just didn't have the body to execute it". But Scott was 6'4", little fat, good speed, and was trained by a HOF trainer in Jesse Reid. He didn't have good power, but I just don't think he had the mindset or toughness to compete at a high level in the pros. Plus he either had the weakest chin, or mind, b/c stiff winds had him falling down in so many fights. But he should know "how" to fight with his amateur pedigree. So many shady fights, like this one, or the Wilder "one left hook to the temple and a right hand that hits my gloves" KO, and then the Chisora one where to his defense, he got up at 9 and the crooked UK ref just waved it off. Strange and wasted career.

He might be bad at fighting but Fighting and coaching is different.. Why Muhammed Ali, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard are not known for great Trainer, they are so great at fighting does not mean they are also great at Coaching... A Trainer/Coach like Freddie Roach, Derrick James, Teddy Atlas etc are not known for their Boxing Career as a Boxer they are known for great Trainer/Coach.. His knowledge and some experienced might be enough for future great trainer.. Wilder improved alot but Fury is so impressive and better and better under Sugar hill. Period..
