never in 40 yrs of this game had a problem with spares. when l first started was practicing and a gentleman named Paul Moser, who was on the tour was there and he told me just practice your spares, anyone can bowl strikes. taught me the 3 arrow rule, being lefty start on 30 on the right and role over the 3 arrow from the left bingo seven pin. 10 pin, move to board 30 on the left and toss over the same 3rd arrow for ten pin if 4 or 6 pin just move toward it 3 boards and bowl same arrow and PRACITCE PRACTICE PRACTICE . i would bowl one game for just 7 and 10 pin, one game for other spares then one game regular

My biggest breakthrough on 10 pin was realizing I was drifting too far left. It's better that my body move towards 10 pin then move left even if it marginally cuts down on the angle advantage of moving left.

The house shot kind of funnels the ball to the pocket. Same with hooking at the spares on THS. Make the correct moves and the pattern directs the ball to the spare.

I can't get the ball not to curve even with the house ball i use for spares. The 10 pin is hit or miss. I open up my hand to go flat, but its 50/50 between hitting the 10 pin or a gutter ball

I have a 12 lb plastic spare ball. The idea is that I can throw it faster with the same effort and it won't hook as much when it hits the dry boards.

Love the video. My problem is that I’m not a striking machine and I’m able to get more spares than strikes. Even when I adjust I’m still unable to strike more. I just have this ability to leave corner pins or at least 1 pin every time on my first shot. I just wish I was a better bowler but I can only be as good as what the lanes will give me which is very little room to miss

I would much rather the ball not hook at all. I've missed too many 10 pins because my spare ball hooked for me to want any kind of reaction from my plastic ball

Stones!!! ❤ 🎳 For opposite hand corner shot, I stand at center dot and throw straight towards the 10 pin. For 7 pin spares, I stand at the far left dot and throw at the 7 pin. - for the 6-10 and 4-7 spares, i need to aim for the middle of those pins or wlae I chop them. I shoot straight with my spare ball for ALL my soares.
