Devin Patterson so because they losing it changes the fact of how good of a player he is at the age of 21?
@dhakadhaka31553 жыл бұрын
Devin Patterson replace Luka with Trae in this game. Ask yourself if Trae is putting up 43,17,13 against Kawhi, PG etc. with a buzzer beater to win it...
@maduit3 жыл бұрын
Devin Patterson No he would not, and I highly doubt you believe in what you are saying. Trae is one of the bottom 5 defenders of the league, and a huge liability because of that.
@maduit3 жыл бұрын
Devin Patterson And again you are talking bs. He’s not superb but his defensive impact on the floor (during the playoffs) was fairly high. And overall he is a much better defender than Trae. And a big dude that you cannot just simply post up like Trae.

He has a right to his own opinion, long as he gives a reasonable explanation behind his opinion. As he stated that he has seen Harden/Curry done it before. But as you stated as well they did not do it at ages 21 like Luka doing now. But Curry was battling injuries his first couple years and didn't see the playoffs until his 4th season. kyle d Not really, black people are the most racially focused group by far. As a whole the black community has blamed white people for all their problems and none of it is true. Just as Eminem got hate for being white I’m sure Luka is getting hate as well. And the BLM stuff is stupid and condescending as hell... like white people don’t know that already? Like white people don’t care about black lives... that’s stupid. White people are not your enemy. And why don’t they do something about it if it’s that big of a problem? Wearing it on their jerseys isn’t gonna do anything. Sure it’s not all black people who get threatened when white people do well in predominantly black arenas, but it sure seems a lot do.

He is just a player who is not much centralized on using the dunk or the three point line See, he doesn't mind using old, overhand two point shots. He can go for a dunk or a counted foul in that fastbreak but instead passed to his open teammate. Lets just say, they can't predict what he's gonna do. He's so well rounded that he can change form anytime, depending on what will be more beneficial to the team.

I remember all the analysts saying "Clippers are such a bad matchup for him, they have Kawhi and PG. He's gonna have a tough series. Dallas loses in 5." Watch Luka's game. He doesn't have a kryptonite, his game is all counters. Take away his step back, he gets around you to the hoop. Help on the drive, he throws a bullet to the corner. Great scorers with vision can beat great defenders if they have shooters. All time great players will find ways to dominate against the very best, and that's what Luka is, an all time great. Luka has to be in the conversation as the top player in the game after these performances. I don't know if there's anyone else you could switch him on this Mavs squad that could have a performance like that against this Clippers team.

Unpopular opinion: Giannis needs Luka more than Luka needs Giannis
@AchillesWrath13 жыл бұрын
I don't think that's unpopular. That'd be the consensus if there was a vote. Luka can create his own shot and makes other players around him better by getting them good looks plus his passing ability. Thats not to discredit Giannis he's a freak athlete and very good at what he does. There's a reason he's back to back MVP. But their styles are completely different. Giannis is a dominant defender and great in transition. He's phenomenal in the regular season when he can glide down the middle for easy dunks. But in the playoffs good defensive teams know how to block the lane and that severely limits him. Luka is constantly facing double coverage and it doesn't really slow him down at all. He knows how to counter it because he's a great passer. He'll kill you that way. But i've said this since the beginning of last year if they were both on the same team i think they would be just about unstoppable. Because they would compliment each other so well. See Luka's still got another part of his game that hasn't been fully realized yet. When Powell went down with season ending injury that really hurt them. Those 2 really had something great together on pick and roles. They were on the same page. No one else on the Mavs is even remotely close to as good at it as Powell. If you don't believe me watch Powell and Luka highlights they have a special connection. They read each others mind like a good quarterback and wide receiver. Powell is an explosive player and they didn't have anyone to replace him. They tried with WCS but he's garbage. I think just having him back and healthy will be a big difference maker next season. But if Luka had Giannis on Pick and roles that would be about impossible to stop because Giannis is about 10x better than Powell. He can take one dribble from the 3 pt line and dunk it. The Mavs would exploit that so much they would be a nightmare to defend against them. And then you also get the added benefit of the best offense in the league adding the best defensive player in the league. Powell and Luka highlights below. kzbin.info/www/bejne/haTdnqhvr9psgdU

As someone that's never watched him play, I had no idea he was so big. Not just in height, but in terms of muscle. He can take it down low and he doesn't have the massive size disadvantage vs bigs that most PGs do. Just watching a couple minutes of this helps explain his dominance at such a young age a lot more to me. And what's scary is he's only 21 ....
