Wow, I would love to say I’m surprised by this reaction but I’m not. I know Ant is in his honeymoon period still, but if Luka had a game this terrible on offense and defense y’all would be ready to knock him down a tier. Luka has clearly been hampered by a knee and ankle injury but still gets killed when he doesn’t play his normal game, but Ant shoots 6/24 in a close out game and then has this bad of a game in the conference finals and he gets injury excuses with 0 reports of him having any issues. The consistency in the way you talk about the stars of the league is way off.

I do think Ant should be acquitted of criticism at this point in his career. He shouldn't be here anyways. Like I get the sentiment. But he's 22 in his first real playoff run as a team with aspirations. You know how it goes. I also think the same thing about Luka who is only 25. I do not think this Mavs team is a championship roster, but there here because of how legendary him and Kyrie are.

The Mavs were injured majority of the season and he CARRIED as much as he can. Okc was a tougher match uo for dallas. Dallas perimeter players will cook wolves all series if they're not gonna collapse on ky and Luka. Their ball pressure isn't gonna work especially on ky. Worked on guys like jamal murray who wasn't comfortable face dribbling.

Ant looked like poo, but it was a 3 point game. both teams have issues they can fix. MN could have hit 4 of their 6 missed free throws. Mavs left their 3 point shooting in round 2. Luka was so good at his step backs. those are so dangerous no matter how tall Jaden is. But lets not treat this like the wolves got burned by 20+. it was a 3 point game. i dont expect kat and ant to shoot this poorly all series. and our bench and role players have come through all playoffs long. so maybe slo doesnt get 11 points, but Naz is gonna get 15, Naw if he shows up is capable of giving 15-20 off the bench. Best OFFENSIVE player. It would be nice to start recognising the players who are great on both ends, which is not quite the case with Doncic, although he has improved in defense. Playing hard on both ends is grueling, it takes a lot of energy, it's mentally challenging, so players who do that should be valued above the others.
