Slow motion is better than fast motion as well. Slow motion is unguardable because the defender been already jumping and is landing already while Luka doesn’t even release his shot yet. Young goat!

And 7 assists and 10 reb too. And he did it on 33 shots! The most efficient 70+ point game in history and he literally could have had a triple-double if his team mates hit all the shots from his passes... Whats most impressive to me is that its an organic 73; it was in the flow of the offense.

I agree. It's the only organic scoring effort in the 70+ club. Maybe Donovan Mitchell's 71 would also qualify, but his game went OT or he wouldn't even be in the club, plus he shot 25 FTs. Kobe's game was meh, he stat padded so hard.

Luka is incredible, his pace is different. But i hate this league. Watched the 98 Bulls vs Pacers game yesterday. Those guys played defense and every offensive foul and travelling gets called. Now as soon as the defense touches a star player they call a foul.

The top-5 guys in Free Throws Attempted in 1998 attempted more Free Throws back then than the top-5 players today. It's harder to defend today. In 1998 teams averaged 15 3PT attempts per game, this season the average team attempts 35 threes per game. The game evolved, but they do play defense still.

Defense? Kobe took every single shot for the Lakers in the last 7 minutes of his 81 point game, in a game the Lakers won by 18, and the Raptors never forced the ball out of his hands and made someone else take even 1 shot! The Hawks double-teamed and blitzed Luka hard in the 4th, they completely compromised their defense, just so Luka would be forced to pass, which he did happily. Stop hating. ✋️ This was the greatest individual performance in NBA history.

Im confused. Idk who is hating becuase it isn't me lol. Im just stating what I see. But you can see in these highlights that they definitely left Luka to iso multiple times on an island who is already cooking. Im double teaming IMMEDIATELY if he scored 30+ in ONE HALF on my team. To allow him to have even one moment to iso after he has been cooking the iso all game is INSANE. They waitied too long to double team him. Could've won the game if they would've done that earlier lol. But that doesn't take away from Luka. He is one of the best in the League. He did what Luka does. Make magic happen. But it wasn't the greatest individual performance in NBA history lol. Its one of them though.

@@VinoFlight I hear ya... But my issue is that people seem to pick and choose when they want to call out bad defense. The Raptors never double-teamed Kobe, they let him take every single shot in the last 7 minutes of the game, with the Lakers up 11-20 points during that whole stretch, and as a result Kobe stat padded his way to 81. The Hawks on the other hand, they blitzed Luka as soon as he got the ball for the majority of the 4th quarter. What you're saying Atlanta didn't do, they actually did do. And everyone's talking about how much tougher the defense was that Kobe scored 81 on, but that's CAP, Kobe is the one who was literally allowed to shoot as much as he wanted and they never even tried trapping him to force a pass.

@@imdbtruth In that sense I agree. Jalen Rose got his worked. I never said they didnt double. I said they didnt do it the ENTIRE game. Whatever the case is, defense is definitely different nowadays in the NBA as the game and players have evolved. At the end of the day, Hawks could've won the game and doubled Luka a little more and Luka's performance was still a legendary one. We can agree to disagree on how Atlanta handled the Luka assignment for the entire game. As far as Kobe goes, all I know is that he scored 81 and Toronto got they ass busted. That's all I care about from that game lol

Young is the worst defensive player in the history of the league. Still, nobody has scored anywhere near that on Atlanta. Hawks have other good defenders
