what better way to improve a players scoring ability than to give luka the 80's and 90's defense treatment. the hand checking and the arm guarding will prove to be quite difficult for anyone to score. if you are somehow able to do a good job with this d, then youd be unstopable playing the game with the way the defense is now no wonder luka brushes the defense of other teams in actual games he damn good

Ayo I play a lot of street ball, even with my friends. And boy oh boy... We're hustling on defense soooo hard, doing hand checks, bumping A LOT, pushing when someone tries to finish, sometimes even foul when offensive player shoots. And then I got in my college team, since I'm new I don't get a lot of shots but... Bro this was so easy with this weak ass defense and contact that I was getting bored. Obviously this is not Luka at his best, but it does highlight the fact that while today's players have developed great face-up games from the perimeter, post games and mid-range offense are not as good as they were in the 80s. Guys like Dantley, Vandeweghe and King would score all day long against defense like that, no matter how tired. The NBA has changed and different skills are emphasized, but that does not mean that today's players are that much better. They do what works in today's game, just like guys in 80s did what worked in those days.
