100% this is a conspiracy, Nico is not dumb, he made 3 years worth of great trades. This is so if Texas doesn't leaglize gambling, Miriam Adelson will move the team to Vegas. The people are Dallas are not ready for it, SlightlyBias is not ready for it, but its likely to happen. When they are done Dallas won't even have a team. And to make matters worse, the Mavericks are screwed for the next decade. No free agent is going to go to Dallas, Kyrie, Klay and AD are getting old, and the Mavs have no picks. The real war is when the Dallas execs can't push the narrative that he is unhealthy, then they might doomed to any businesses they hold in Dallas, Forget Luka not having the 300m+ max deal. I think it’s pretty simple. Dallas ownership aren’t super competitive basketball fans and their goal isn’t to win a chip - at least until they get their casino resort. They see Luka weigh 270, attached to other long term health concerns, and don’t want to pay him $350M. They also don’t want a circus around the trade or give Luka any leverage. This leads to terrible asset management and perhaps the worst trade in sports history. Terrible basketball decision, but in their eyes this isn’t solely around basketball.

It's either these 2 scenario. 1.After 2 years if Dallas Mayor or Officials still bans gambling in Texas,the Adelson family will move the Mavericks to Vegas but since NBA is expanding and this is not the same as the Supersonics in Seattle last 2007,most likely NBA will add Dallas as an expansion team with new ownership. 2.Texas officials will agree to legalize gambing in Texas and the Mavericks will remain in Dallas(to start a rebuild i guess or continue to compete)

All we needed was to find a way to get a perimeter defender, good back up players (which we had) and if we’re lucky find a way to get a “KD-type” player, or an “AD-Type” player, and build around our team. I know those two players don’t come a dime a dozen, but if you can’t find a way to authentically get those two, get a knock off version. But at what cost?! Don’t Give up Luka!!! This is an absolute atrocity, that we will ultimately survive. But it’s absolute BS we gave up Doncic. The dumbest business decision I’ve seen.

On top of that, did anybody wonder how they convinced AD to revoke his trade kicker to such a horrible deal (leaving the glamours of LA to the Luka-less Mavs)? What if they promised him that in 3 years, they'll get him back to Lakers to team up with Luka? Since if he stuck it out in LA, they wouldn't win a championship anyway for these next 3 years. Once he rejoins them in 3 years, he'll win way more championships in back in LA with Luka.
