Spanish teams are not playing target man. That's why Jovic couldn't find his role in RM. I watched him playing with Eintracht a lot (as I lived in Frankfurt back then) and still have no clue why RM bought him. On paper, he's not even the type of the forward RM would play, no matter who the managers are. The last target man RM played was Higuain. Jovic could surely thrive in any other teams who play target man and has good build up play from wingers (Eintracht played this style back in the day, with Haller as second striker to support him). Wish him the best time at Fiorentina. He surely has potential. He just needs to be in the right team.

He would be standing looking for a bal casimero and vinicious would always try finish the attack themselves, never looked to pass the ball to the striker. I understand that Jovic didn't know any Spanish so he wasn't part of the group, which just turned him into a slow, walking boring player on the pitch. He's the type of player who needs to be fed with balls, like levandovski. He's a packer. Being ignored for 3 years would just ruin you as a player. What I'm trying to say, he's a player that needs the play to be structured around him otherwise he's not useful.
