In fact, French people learnt it as well while Italian opera was spreading throughout Europe. "Bravo" originally comes from Latin "bravus" (although the literal meaning was something more similar to "brave, heroic" rather than "good": this is due to the fact that the word "bravus" comes from "barbarus", term used to refer to northern foreign populations during the Roman Empire. And this word was borrowed form the Ancient Greek term Βάρβαρος... ). Italian is almost completely based on Latin and therefore the word is now considered Italian since Latin is no more our primary language, and also because Italian is basically the language that has the most in common with Latin nowadays. In both languages one is supposed to variate the final part of most nouns and adjectives to have them in concordance with the subject/object connected to them. In any case, using this word while referring to the performance itself would be considered a mistake in Italian since the adjective "Bravo/a/etc" is not suited for objects/abstract concepts, it's only used while taking about people... sorry for the poem, I hope I wasn't too tedious and shared useful knowledge😂😂
