So this is the guy who helps make a lot of the fun music that I enjoy listening to, and that all of the snotty hipsters love to look down on.

+dsmj he makes the music we ALL listen to...the " Im too cool for anything mainstream" crowd still listens they just do it behind closed doors...trust me all these dudes who claim to only listen to heavy metal when theyre at the bar with their friends listen to this stuff when no one is looking....its like a musical dont ask dont tell policy lol

she's the only artist other than Michael Jackson to have 5 #1 singles from one album. and that was on her sophomore album (as you should know sophomore albums almost never do well). its already been 8 years since her first studio album and she's still getting #1's. these are facts.

Yeah exactly. People saying all pop sounds the same makes me laugh. Does Rihanna's "Pour it Up" sound just like "California Gurls" by Katy Perry? If someone actually thinks that then they have no distinction of sound and aren't in a place to judge music. They can call these musicians talentless all the want but these artists aren't selling millions of singles for no reason; they know what they're doing.

The world is full of people who are terrified of anything new. They spend their effort justifying their position of opposition. One must open their mind and really "listen" to new things and hear that human performance and musicality are still very much alive. This guy was the guitar player on the SNL band for ten years, now he is the most sought after producer in the world. He only works the projects he wants to and he applies a deep musicality to everything he does. I'm sorry you can't hear it

People like Dr Luke are few and far between, if it was easy to be a super producer like Luke and Martin then everybody would be able to create chart topping hits. If it's so easy or requires no talent then surely you could make me a little demo to prove it. Dr Luke was playing guitar in the SNL band for YEARS before this. I think he might know a little about music no?!?! Take your extreme ignorance elsewhere people, this is a little beyond your shallow reasoning and observations.

The stupidity of some of the people commenting here infuriates me. Firstly, pop music ia like ANY genre of music it has strengths and weaknesses. For example, country music all sounds the same, dance music is all repetitive and needs no talent, metal is all about technical prowess and has no emotive qualities etc! I don't believe those things but see how easy it is to pick on any genre. I could do that all day.

This is beyond depressing - this man has absolutely nothing to do with artistry or music, as evidenced by the 'performers' he works with and how he refers to stacking, processing, aligning, samplers, pitch correctors, plug-ins, etc. Whatever happened to true songwriting, singers performing actual vocals, and real musicians? And is someone really asking if there was an 'over-arching musical idea or concept' with regard to "Tik-Tok"?
