I just love how he showed his feelings for her through thoughtful actions whether its santa claus pancakes, giving her a ride, helping her find a baby chick, helping her with Rory problems, etc. For her he's a softy for her despite the fact that he's usually a grump. I mean a hot hunky grump, but yeah. So cute I love it.

I always see Luke was pining for Lorelai, but she was in denial about her feelings for him for most of the first season. When she FINALLY admitted to Emily she maybe had feelings I was like AH HA!
