Thanks for sharing... That Interview answered some questions I had before after having watched "never tear us apart".

When the cute actor says he'd rather be naked in a scene than sing in public, it's humble. When *I* say it, I'm "no longer welcome at karaoke." Seems fair.

His accent is much different than it was as Michael in the inxs movie. I think I’m currently realizing not every Aussie accent is the same.

there are very few, even seasoned actors who could have succeeded in the role of MH, but i have to say that - for me, at least - Luke Arnold made Michael appear to be sleazy and rather two dimensional...and i suppose that if an actor has no experience of the kind of man MH was, then he can only play to the depth he understands, however Michael was extremely poetic and ultra sensitive and shy...his sexuality was beyond compare (for any man to die and have had so many lovers and for NOT ONE of those women to have even one bad word to say about him, speaks to the nature of a most exceptionally insightful and authentic expression of masculinity...so many men profit from the injustice that is the historical oppression of women and most men have a self-serving desire to be pleased by women, irrespective of that fact...Hutch was the antithesis of that kind of manhood...not only did he not mock or insult or abuse women's trust, he felt a deep sense of response-ability TO women and being accountable for the way he treated them) for anyone who knew Michael Hutchence as much more than an entertainer and his public alter-ego, Luke Arnold's perception and interpretation of MH can only have fallen very much short of the mark...seeing him being portrayed as sleazy and unbalanced only increased my sadness, that the band and whoever else permitted that portrayal to be admitted to the public gaze (for mere entertainment, rather than documenting the truth and artistic integrity of the man), could have been so utterly blind to the consequences

It could not have been easy to make such a production. I agree however, that unless one of his women wrote a book, to help show us his sensitivity. Unfortunately Paula Y likely would have, had she lived, and for some reason Helena doesn't want to or don't know if they even lived together like he did with Paula. The movie was just to show the evolution of this band, from start to end. I think the producers wanted to show about the injury MH suffered, the impact etc., don't think the public thinks he was sleazy in any way. Maybe another attempt or angle that focuses on his relationships, family, working and otherwise.

I agree. I can't see Michael acting like that in real life. This was a true injustice to his awesome life and career.
