Whole stack tracing helps with tracking down latency in a complex distributed process like this. The trick is getting good clock synchronization even on the nodes where you don't control the system clock (browsers).

@@wanjohi when recording events on different machines for traces that span machines, you need a useful measurement of the offset between the clocks.
