Nice podcast. Good insight. 👍 'Play above your salary'. Thats a good point, a good way to keep your work in this very competetive environment. Choosing the goalie is the challenge. With Predators they could make a good deal, if can persuade Marner to sign the deal. Because Predators have Saros plus some good d-men.

Marner doesn’t hold all the cards. Just sit him and watch how fast he agrees to a trade.
@darrelldart45734 ай бұрын
Ya cause paying someone 11 million to sit make great business sense but I really wouldn't expect anything less from people ...look both Marners name and mlse signed the contract if they were to sit him to make him waive his ntc would be a violation of said contract who do you think would win that battle at the court level so now they are paying 11 million not only to get him out of the contract but now he is free of the leafs and still getting paid and that contract would count against the cap and the 50 contracts each team can hold each season so no sitting him to make him waive his ntc is absolutely assinie I really don't understand why fans and media want to trade Marner is it because they all know Willie's contract is way to rich for what he has done Marner is a much more responsible defensive forward who plays the pk and pretty good at it also runs pp1 and pretty good at it has second most points on the team over the better part of the last decade bit hey lets trade our second best player in the off season who can tell you where he wants to go so that give the new team and Marner have more movement power then the team so they would more likely get less then fair market value for one of the top 20 players in the league why not hold him until trade deadline worse case scenario teams pay more at trade deadline then they do in the off-season makes more sense to me second there are a shit ton of dead weight players that have come in here who are on expiring contracts who shouldn't be here 18.5 million in free cap space without signing anyone keep 1 maybe 2 players pay out a little over 9 million trade Connor Timmins Timothy Liljegren and a 2nd rd pick for a dman trade David Kampf trade Calle Yarnkrok bring up Easton Cowen bring up Frazer Minten bring up Cade Webber bring back Domi go get a NHL GOALIE

100% RIGHT Marner will move his NMC within 2 months into the season because he will not handle Berube way of playing the game .... Same for t JT he will end up on the 4th line Center if he is SLOWING down like he has been the last 2 years

The way that the NHL Refs call the games in the playoffs, by allowing much more interference & holding etc... hurts the highly skilled players & it has for years. It has always favoured the lunch pail teams. There are always old boys who say "it's the same for both teams"; but it really is not at all. I watched this for years with Crosby getting mugged & abused throughout the play-offs. The same is true for McDavid, who when he is without the puck, he often gets pushed out of the play or held up. Marner totally gets taken out of the play, as Bedard will, even more than McDavid, because they are smaller. The NHL annually shoots itself in the foot by marginalizing their stars at a time when casual fans are watching more & the NHL should be trying to attract those fans by accentuating skill... It never happens. Just simply Ref the way that they do in the season.

Haha yeah a team of full no moves and buyout proof is going to be intimidated by a coach. LMFAO yeah you can trade here for a bag of pucks. Real scared. News flash what free agents want to play for coach who doesn't score. Yeah they don't want to be paid again. Toronto not a premier destination anymore.

Adam Larson nd shane wright or tanev or beniers. Either way cant change a decade of pretty bad decisions in one off season. The rangers have made about 15 better decisions in the past 5 years, their d core is a perfect example of that
