I've enjoyed all the Master Classes, but Ritchie really sells the play style of this deck and why a player might *enjoy* playing this deck (without devolving into scrub mentality).

Yeah he really does a good job explaining the patient approach you need up take to pilot this.... and thank YOU for all the work you do with the DB. Huge benefit to the SW:U community.

Ran a version of this at my showdown this past weekend and took second against some strong decks. Only lost to Green Han twice (who ended up winning).

Thanks for this video with Philip and going over his updated list and what he has evolved to deck wise since. I have been running Luke Green even since his Top 3 finish.

My wife likes to play Luke. I’ve been looking for videos of Luke and if it’s Philip Ritchie we are even more happy. Let’s start the video! Thanks

Absolutely agreed. Got top 8 in my local Store Showdown with my Chewy deck that looked a bit like this. This video opened my eyes to some cards I was really overlooking.

Great stuff. I'm largely on board with the changes, but one Obi-Wan?! That card has saved me SO many times. I've been running 3. I could see cutting 1, but no way I'm cutting 2. I'll try Skiff. It hasn't been as amazing for me though.

Greet video! Been working on a luke green for weeks and just couldnt get it to work. after watching this, i think my tool box has too many tools and need to sharpen a few towards your adjusted deck. Thanks for all the great info!

I’m really trying to make Hera work and I’ve toyed with running her Blue. Her and Luke have a lot of mid range similarities so I’m getting a lot of good tips from this. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah let me know how hera blue goes. I think the gandork likes that deck.

Great to see you running Spark of Rebellion out of aspect… I thought me being willing to pay 4 for it in the last couple of weeks might be crazy, but now I feel great about it 😊 Well done on a great result, Phil. Great content, Mr. L8!

Hello from France, Thanks you for your vids, it really helps me to understand the game and i really enjoy watching this. I have a question, what means the star on the left on many cards ? I read that it's a unit you can get in 1 sample, but I see some decks with 3 samples. Can someone explain me please ?
@L8NightGaming7 ай бұрын
Bonjour! Can you give me an example of a card with the star you're referring to?

@Zyrkha7 next to the name? That's the symbol for unique card. Meaning you cannot have two cards in play with that name.

@@L8NightGaming oh okay, unique in this way, not 2 at the same Time on the board, but you can have 3 on your deck isn't it ?

Thoughts on Alliance Dispatcher in Sabine Green? Potential with swapping out Spec Force/r2d2 in specific matchups?

How is boba a good matchup? i ve just watched the video a few times, and i dont understand. "get good trades" doesnt seem very specific about the matchup. when they ramp, have 5 open, play a waylay on your unit or an ambush, bring boba and attack, and are ready to steadfast your luke as soon as he is out... i see little room. Ofc if the boba player dont get any of the 5 cost good cards, u can win, but otherwise... i see it as a ver difficult matchup
@philipritchie97417 ай бұрын
You never wanna blindly deploy Luke with an open ECL. The key is deploy on the turn you have 6 open. Play spark to see the outlying threats, which steadfast takes top priority. OB isn't as scary since Luke loves the 6 damage from that. Then you can throw Obi in front of Luke after or even play his saber and then take boba in 1 hit and have no damage. Most people don't see the lines against Boba because there's not many hyper competitive people playing Luke. I hope that helps you!
@fernandocastanon22377 ай бұрын
@@philipritchie9741 I consider myself pretty comepitive player, won 200+ tournaments in other gamed and top 4 or win many in swu. U have cut Luke lightsaber & obi from my decks. In the worst matcup, bobas (y o g) are usually very bad on tempo, which are how u usually lose the games against boba, imo. Right now im at a 68 plsyers event, 4 1 lost to a boba :( with luke. ill keep trying

Glad you're enjoying the deck. I think Phil mentioned it directly but my take away from his comments was emphasizing patience in that match up. I do know from my experience with chirrut the the hero blue end game will typically get Boba in the end so long as you can stay alive and survive the middle of the game when Boba is strong.

@fernandocastanon2237 keep practicing the matchup! Lukes Saber is one of your most powerful tools against Boba, but does require patience and timing to master when to play it. Luke takes a ton of practice to play efficiently so just keep it up man because the deck really pays off when you start to understand it more. You can listen to me talk about it all day, but the most important thing is for you to put the reps in and and learn from failure the same as I did and I still continue to do!
