I feel like this is from the perspective of his 17 year old self. Everything is dreamlike and an idyllic “wonderland” - maybe the idea of moving away and pursuing his career. The white cloth symbolises his innocence and ignorance (because it shields him from seeing). The blurry effects show all the confusion and how expectation was different to reality. Luke's choices of vocals on the album and the way they're produced sound like if "Zarry Stylik" was an actual person and he's decided to record an album. I mean Luke's head voice reminds me of Zayn's tembre a tiny bit (it's so prominent in this song tho!) and the layering of his own voice, the harmonies, its overal production reminds me Harry Styles's sound of FL era. I hate comparing artists but I just couldn't help it. Needless to say, this album is one of this year's favourites for me, and NOT because of that comparison. It's just amazing, I can't get enough of it.
