YEAH, LUKE NEWTON!!! 👏🏼 You know, Luke demonstrates this ever so subtle approach to playing Colin Bridgerton without even saying a word - his face, expressive eyes, body language. It’s so effective, and his delivery has made me love Colin in ways I didn’t whilst reading Romancing Mister Bridgerton. He’s just a fantastic actor. I’ll never get over it - I cannot, will not, do not want to get over it! 😩 And knowing how much agency Luke and Nicola had as actors, the discussions they had in preparation to tell this story, and seeing the choices they’ve made to play these characters authentically in part 1 speaks to the tremendous level of talent, professionalism, and profound respect for their craft the pair have - a love letter to the Polin fans for sure. 💌 I truly couldn’t imagine a better duo to portray Colin and Pen. They have so much chemistry, and I can’t wait for part 2. Meanwhile, they are absolutely spoiling us on this press tour! 🩵 The prank Nic played on him is gold. 😂 Thank you so much for having Newts on the show, Kelly and team! 🫶🏼

Yes I noticed the lack of East Asian and South East Asian actors in Bridgerton too. Fun fact; in the UK they call Indian and Pakistani people Asian and SE Asian and East Asian people “Oriental”. When I lived there 20 years ago I was so offended by the number of white people telling my Filipina Australian ass and my Gay Thai Bestie that we weren’t Asian. Now I can laugh about it. Btw I wonder if Simu can do an English accent? 🤔

​@@JilTheRealBecause the book did it beautifully and we all want to see Colin accept Pen for who she is. _All of who she is._ It's what made him such a good partner for Pen and a good person. Plus the reveal will have brought a long time confrontation to the forefront. Pen being found out by not just Colin but the ton is a thing that must happen. (It's foregone from the series and foreshadowed.) It just depends how much - does Lady Whistledown just disappear never to be seen again? Is it like the book at that location? Does Eloise dosappear? etc.

@@JilTheReal to be honest...I wish he proposed to Pen after he found out she was Lady W like in the book...because he's proposing to the real her. The carriage scene in the book is superb....I love all their dialogue...I love that they're finally having a proper honest conversation...I love that they are overcome by passion and that he proposes to her...i love that he stands up to her family and makes that beautiful declaration of love to the whole ton ..RMB is really one of my absolute faves in the Bridgerton series. I sense in part 2 they will still be overcome by passion and have lots of sensual moments (i.e. they're clearly going to amplify his mirror fantasy) , but he'll also realise how much he loves her and how proud he is of her accomplishments (once he gets over all the hurtful stories she wrote and the shock of it all, as well as his jealousy....if they also explore that in the show). So yes looking forward to part 2 ...because right now they're engagement could still end because the Lady W secret is hanging over them (whereas in the book it's more that he wants to protect her and stop the secret getting out)...so it will be very good once he truly knows her, realises she's his match, she declares she's loved him for ages, he mentions on some level he's felt it and always knew but liked her so much that he didn't want to hurt her and fortunately he's now also fallen in love. So the cast has said it's very romantic and looking forward to seeing it.

Not only him. The press and content creators in particular have early access. It's always different, sometimes you can see everything, sometimes just a few episodes, sometimes completely finished, sometimes unfinished (without CGI). It's easier for people who report on it if they can watch it beforehand and pre-record the videos. That's why reviews can come out directly on the day of release.
