The Bluetti should make your life easier. I watch 'That 1870 Homestead' and Todd reviewed one 2 years ago, they love it for the cabin (off grid) and for home backup... It's a game changer in a warm climate like you have. I hope they sponsored you for reviewing it, this will help you and Sarah emmensley. The result is stunning, I love it.

Glass with a surface rough enough to be opaque will not start a fire; since the rough surface scatters light, & the sun's rays must be concentrated through a smooth polished surface to create enough heat to ignite anything. And, although the surfaces are clear when wet, wet things don't catch fire much. I'm glad the glass mulch is working out- it sounds beautiful!

I've watched a lot of off grid stuff bc I eventually want a small place off grid with no HOA/POA!! Anyway, I watched several different videos on several different off grid Solar Generators and decided on Bluetti. I found most that started out with Jackery, ended up with Bluetti! Maybe they got a better deal, Luke a Sarah have a great set up!! I love my Bluetti.!! Model # EB70S . Not as big as theirs, but it does what I need it to do. Easy to read but no Bluetooth capabilities which is fine bc I have that on my garage, non-portable station!

We pick up sea glass all the time here! I could give you a list of 50 things to do with it! Don't use as mulch, please. But if you have some succulents, they are real pretty in a pot with those. Earrings for everyone or necklaces! You can put them in you store, or around the piglets necks, 😂😂! You can make potted plant hangers with some type of rope and the glass as ornaments. Christmas ornaments, presents. Stain glass window, (FOR THE RUIN, your welcome😂❤☘☘❤!!!!!) In clay pots in the house and out door kitchen, you put a candle stick in the center of the pot(plug the hole) some ppl put like an inch of sand to help stabilize them, I don't. I just fill the pot with the Sea Glass, light the candle and it's so beautiful!! (Of course the sand would take up space and you wouldn't have to put so much sea glass! I could go one and one! People make little sea turtles and crabs out of them. They glue them on the outside of pots for plants. They put them in cement stepping stones they make. WOW, I'm tired. Subject change! I ended up with a Bluetti after watching all my Portuguese off grid peeps!LOL! BUT TO BUY AN ADD ON BATTERY LIKE Y'ALL HAVE, JUST ONE WOULD BRAKE THE BANK!!! MAYBE THEY WILL SEE THIS (I LIVE IN HURRICANE ALLEY IN/ON THE GULF OF MEXICO!!) AND HAVE PITTY ON ME AND SEND ME ONE! I just used mine last week. Some dumb sailboat captain/ crew, ran into the only POWER LINE leading to the Island and knocked out power for about 6 hrs. They fixed the line in record time, considering they have to pull a barge out there(on the water) with a Alabama Power Truck with a bucket crew to fix it!!! Glad it wasn't my sailboat!!😮😮 SUBJECT CHANGE... Finally spoke with my Dr on Wednesday afternoon. Yes!! So after I took my Mom to her Lab appt today, I went to the VA! Blood test, shot for pain including the steroid, for a booster and Shingles vaccine. Anyone over 50yo can get them if they had the chicken pox as a child. My Mom broke out about 2 days on her face in October right before her Heart Attack that landed us in the hospital for a week, yes us, I didn't leave her there by herself! Anyway blah blah blah, they gave me a cane and did a set of back x-rays on my lower back and pelvis. So after the Radiologist reads them, I can start Physical Therapy! Yeah!! Now everyone that reads your posts can be happy for Y'all and me! ✝️🙏❤❤🇺🇸🇵🇹👣🍍🌻☘🤗

@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife I just saw my text!! I think I was OUT SIDE MY MIND when I wrote this BOOK, and I c old barely see bc my eyes were so blurry. When the power went out at 2AM CST, they notify you by Msg. Said it would be back on at 4AM CST, then 430AM CST. I fell asleep. Now it's 1230PM CST! Cool stuff! Wrt your question regarding using it as a mulch: Mulch are devided into two main catogories. Ie: organic and inorganic. Glass, like pebbles, are in the latter catogory. Your biggest difference between the 2 catogories is its contribution to soil health. Organic mulches help improve soil health whereas inorganic makes no contribution, which will leave you with depleting soil health, unless you now up your organic fertilizer input. Hope that helps.
@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife8 ай бұрын
That helps very much thank you we will fertilize the blueberries more often ❤️❤️
@dweamy18 ай бұрын
I would not put it on the soil, but would use it to make a collage within a frame.

The glass could make a terrazzo floor when mixed with concrete as the aggregate in it. Perhaps for your renovation of the stone house?
@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife8 ай бұрын
Great idea , a crazy amount of glass would be needed but it would look beautiful❤️❤️
@nancibishof64628 ай бұрын
@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife Have friends save glass for your terrazzo. Recycling upgraded to a beautiful result. Or, you can do inserts of terrazzo to create a patterned floor. Once the floor is polished and sealed it is golden.

From experience, cementy water blocks drains. I wonder where you put the waste water?
@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife8 ай бұрын
The only cement that might be in the slurry will be the old hard bits that the process cleaned off of the mixer. So the chemical process that makes cement harden already happened. So its just some little stones of old cement mixed with water, sand and tiny fragments of glass I guess. We just emptied it in our empty future little pond.

A little water in the mixer will control the dust just fine. You don't need any sand or other materials as the bottles will make their own sand.

Hi guys , I really enjoy watching your videos, i have a interesting question for you, as i usually see Chemtrails in the sky , almost in every videos, does the clear skies last all day or just in the mornings? Chemtrails are being sprayed all over the planet to block the sun , cloud seeding, dimming the sun , etc… does the lack of sun affects the production of electricity on the solar panels???

That's a theory about the vapour trails left by aircraft, but since they haven't changed in 50 odd years, I am content to think that it is not a chemical spraying, but the natural consequence of flying an aeroplane through the atmosphere!
