Pls travel to Allepey backwaters and also to Munnar hillstation- these are most popular tourist attractions. I bet you'll love backwaters in Allepey or Kollam. All these places are must visit in Kerla. Pls don't forget to visit these tourist sites
@LukeDamant5 жыл бұрын
We only spent 1 day in Allepey as the weather was really bad! It was also very quiet due to off season. We went for a walk along the backwaters and saw some people fishing ect :) We are now in Varkala which is amazing!
@marshmallowsalad9335 жыл бұрын
@@LukeDamant That's really sad to hear about the weather in Allepey. Generally Allepey houseboat experience is considered to be the most recommended tourist activity in Kerala. Varkala is amazing too, the beach is nice but this month you would find some beaches in Kerala crowded with locals who are there to do their yearly funeral rites on the beach shore. If you wish to get some hillside experience you can head to Munnar hill station. Or you can simply hike to cities like Thrissur or hills in Gavi in Southern Kerala to get close to nature.
@LukeDamant5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is a shame that we did not get to experience the houseboat as I have heard really good things about it. Varkala has been spectacular so far! It really has the most beautiful beach and views, I think I will spend a week here to fully explore the area! Then I will continue down south :) Thanks for the suggestions, I will be sure to check them out as well.

One handsome Luke and his friend visits our place, sorry we don't have as much facilities like Australia, and hope you have a good experience in India. I bet Kochi is very humid though. The place is not that tourist friendly I guess? To reserve train tickets download irctc app. It's much easier, no need of paper tickets. The train stations, ticketing system, everything needs loads of improvement. I can almost feel your frustration when there is nothing much to see. Did you visit Bolgatti Palace? *Easy way to know information about trains in India* 1.Just look up for your train and train number. 2. Simply put the train number on Google 3. Open the first website result (I prefer railinfo)in which you will be able to see the train time, train compartment order, train station, platform of arrival etc. *Since you are a Foreigner, nobody will kick you out of the train even if you are in the wrong compartment so don't worry* *I hope this might help you to avoid contacting information center all the time* It's all in the internet now a days. (And yeah I'm on a marathon watching all your videos so ignore the notifications bro) 🤣

@LukeDamant5 жыл бұрын
no man it is not a stupid question. Fortunately Australia has very high wages which is very helpful for starters. After I finished school I began working 6 days a week, while running my own business on Friday and Saturday nights. Alongside this I was always looking for other ways to make money such as selling things online and doing little things in our community. I never ate out as this would just waste money that I could spend travelling and i only ever bought things that I need. So in short I worked very hard and saved alot! I don't have any funding from my parents hahah they would never do that 😂😂 There are plenty of ways to travel cheaply bro, you can even do a working holiday which alot of people I have met are doing. If you BELIEVE you can ACHIEVE!

the dancing guy at start of the video. Guess his name is Nevin Augustine.I met him in Fort Kochi last year. Everyone knew him and had mixed reviews about him. He said we can score weed, not that I'm a big stonner, but I had nothing better to do, and it was impossible to make an opinion of him. I gave some money to some guys he introduced and they went somewhere to get weed, they didn't showed up even after an hour and so I thought I got scammed. No big deal, wasn't that much money. But he insisted to come back with him where he would meet his friends and they will have some weed and we can get stonned there, however he used the word "medicine " instead of weed. At this point I was trying to wave him off thinking I would end up in a bigger scam. But, I went along as I didn't had much cash on me anyway. Finally, I met his friends as he said, we sat on sea shore and got stonned. Then I really started to enjoy what he was doing in public places, being all crazy, interacting with strangers in the most eccentric manner. Crazy rememberable time. Those guys I gave money to eventually showed up too with some stuff and they were alright too. I hope that gang in doing well. Kerala was the best and also very interesting part of that travel .

On a curious note, why did you choose Indian subcontinent first to visit 🤠🤠🤔🤔🤔
@LukeDamant5 жыл бұрын
Hi Sangeeta, thankyou for your interest 😊 When I was thinking about going on this I really had no idea on where to start!! I ended up deciding to go to Sri Lanka (I have no idea why haha) where I stayed before going to Thailand and then here in India. I am not sure why I have loved this sub continent so much. A lot of people go to the classic tourist spots around the Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Bali ect) but I like to do things differently and visit places that are not really seen by foreigners. Don't get me wrong there are alot of tourists here in India but alot of people from Australia don't really come here. So in conclusion, I don't really have an official reason on why I am here hahaha. Hopefully that explains your question a little bit. 😊😊

sangeeta turka I love that line!!! “Every state is like a country” I have been telling everyone that India is like a country within countries because of the diversity! Different food, people languages everywhere you go! I really am enjoying India and I can’t wait to explore all over the country. Thanks heaps for the comment 😊👍
