Yes, but I think its going to be very different than its been in the past. They've reshuffled it so the part that makes them money is at the forefront and the part the players really enjoyed (new content like maps and gamemodes) relegated to an afterthought. Its sad, back before matchmaking when community servers were EVERYTHING it was a given that new content was easily accessible. Now only a vanishingly small portion of the player base even uses the server browser. I'd bet that if you exclude 3rd party matchmaking servers like faceit and paid premium practice servers there is less than 0.01% of players playing on community servers. This is what they took from you. 😞

i dont want to play coop for Stars i want to grind an operation with my Homie. I fully remember playing all the old Operation maps with a friend in 2021 back. I really hope they bring them back because there were very little good other coop maps

Besides for more possible limited time items, I would be willing to bet that the current armory pass rotation will not be updated until the 1 year anniversary of it being out. Valve told us the limited time item was for 100 days and they stuck to that, with no mention of any other categories being limited in time. Also all the people who were faming stars and got trade banned were not banned for a full year from the date that said date. They were banned for until the armory pass is 1 year old. Suggesting that this is when the armory will be fully refreshed.

@@bailvik6390 Ya the Armory pass is here to stay but what I'm saying is the current rotation most likely won't be updated besides for a limited edition item until the armory pass is 1 year old. Valve doesn't tend to do things on a short term basis so a year for the current location sounds exactly like what valve would do.

@@ertyderty7 Yeah no, it will be updated when the train 2025 collection is made (and that will be when train is added or atleast before the major) they will not release souviner packages with the train 2021 collection, It doesnt even have the standard item tiers as the 2021 collection was dropped when the map wasnt in majors. I dont know how you can link the banning to the refresh of the armory pass. Valve will update it whenever the fk they want - meaning it can be 3 months, 8 months or 1 year Train will be added alone or will be added with other collections

CSGO had a lot of casual options. That’s what I miss a ton in CS2. The CS community though has grown to have a decently large competitive playerbase though, and it’s also important to appeal to that as well. Counter-Strike is always the very simple casual fps to me though, one that you can just chill back and relax on while talking to the people in the lobby. Casual playlists are like that still, but I wish there was more modes that aren’t defuse, hostage and arms race. I fully agree with you here.

I'm waiting for them to fix the community server browser and do a full hardening to prevent security vulnerabilities when joining unofficial servers. I know there are better sites you can use for finding community servers but until its official, safe and prominent in the in-game UI it will continue to be a tiny minority of players.

The best ones were always the ones with active admins, chill regulars, and a culture of respect for people of all skill levels and backgrounds.

Why is no one talking about the price increase for the Armory Pass with this update? It's a lot more expensive to buy passes now. The price increased R30 (ZAR) in my currency. This makes it a lot less profitable with the current Steam Market prices. It's a massive change.

I think you don‘t understand what 1% and 0.1% lows are and that they are more relevant than your average fps :) I have 5700X3D and 4070 Super and still strugle to hold 140+ fps at 0.1% or even 1% lows with a perfect optimised win10 PC @AutisticWimpyKid

If they refresh the whole Armory, so complete new collections, those skins that you can pull right now won't be available again. So no new skins will be produced. It will only be possible to obtain them with a trade up. So the prices will go up if they are removed.

Its supposed to keep sussy players queuing separate from established players who have many hours, friends, other games, and years on their steam account. If you've got longer wait times its likely because you've got good trust factor and they're not matching you into games with low-trust players rather than there being less players seeking matches. Personally I'd rather wait longer for a good match than waste my time loading in and finding out its full of those 2yo accounts with a "One Stop Shopper" badge or a private profile. IYKYK 😂
