Following Ronaldo ❌ Following Money ✅
@coolsquirtlesquad11 ай бұрын
The big difference is semi-retired star players have always gone to the MLS, it's been happening literally for over 50 years, Messi didn't change anything. The impact he's having will be short lived because the american culture is very flimsy and trend-following. He's just their new flashy toy. The Saudi league on the other hand only became a thing after Ronaldo joined. People want to argue that the players are only joining the saudis for money and that Ronaldo has zero influence on it but have zero arguments as to why they werent doing it before. Saudi Arabia has always had the money, Ronaldo just paved the way.

We’ll see messi at 38 years see if he can do what ronaldo can bc he may have won more trophies with barca not outside barca, dont say he won everything bc premier league is the toughest league than theres la liga. Comparison is not fair, also ronaldo scored hattrick against spain, he may not have won the wc but his impact is crazy something messi cant, dont say how he won World Cup, bc of martinez blocking, if that mbappe goal went in he’ll be nothing. The saudi league definitely would have had more growth than the MLS. First of all, the MLS can't throw around the same amount of money that the Saudi League has in both transfer fees and wages. Second of all, the MLS was a much more established league compared to the Saudi league, meaning there was less room for growth. So honestly, why fight about this when there are so many factors that can change things. Wages alone means that more player will pick the Saudi League and teams will be more willing to sell players to the Saudi league too.
