For those who don't know. The team at GSC who adopted Unreal Engine 5 before it even had a public release have dubbed this version of the engine "UE 5.1-GSC" because the work they put into the engine following what was featured in 5.1 was incredibly extensive. It's a major fork of the engine and it will be exciting to see how they made UE5 into something a little more than what we've come to know of it.

You have to become powerful by the end, as you end up fighting people in exosuits and snipers carrying gauss rifle, etc. Edit: to the replies. Not sure what you guys are talking about. With the right artifacts, an exosuit, and the high powered guns. You easily one or two shot most enemies, while they took multiple shots to kill you. In stalker terms, at the end you were a god.

Something GSC is genuinely incredible at is atmosphere. It's so immersive playing their games. The audio is quite distinct and the mix of gunplay and horror is unique. The NPC's you meet in these games are something else. I have several memories from the first game of characters I can't even tell you why i remember them. Haha. I can't wait for this new wave of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s. If you can't wait for 2, The first 3 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are on consoles as well as steam, and The Metro Series was made by the same Dev's as the old games. It's my own personal headcannon that the Metro and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are in the same universe. The games are so similar. They even have anomalies and plenty of Vodka. (To clarify I know they are not, but it is fun for me to believe so)

This looks dope! If they can stick the landing, and performance is good, I'm buying this. Absolutely loved the atmosphere of the first Stalker game. Not even the Metro franchise has managed to deliver that, imo, being way more claustrophobic and putting players under constant time pressure with the gas mask filters - leaving me mostly unable to enjoy my time with the games.

It’s my most anticipated game in years, but I’m going in knowing exactly what to expect; a game that’s rough around the edges, has a learning curve and starts out brutally difficult, until you get better gear. It’s also extremely satisfying and beautiful to explore and also very rewarding and worthwhile to explore.

I played all titles of the Stalker series multiple time. It was my favorite first person experience. I was looking forward to Stalker 2 for a long time. I am glad if it turns out as good as we all hope. My only problem is this: I am sooo tired of post apocalyptic scenarios after over thirty years of gaming.... That being said, I couldn't be happier if this was a success that possibly sparks a new first person, single player, open world shooter trend - for all those who can't stand the word "souls" anymore....

After watching War Game from GSC i honestly dont care, its one of the only games im gonna preorder no matter what. If you havent watched it youre doing yourself a disservice. Nope it's not coming to PS5. The developers came out and stated it wasn't a timed exclusive anymore due to how much support and resources Xbox provided them throughout the years. They said it's essentially more of a full exclusive as a way to show their respect and gratitude for everything Xbox did for them.
