In Valhalla, you could get a lot of the paid content by just saving up the currency that you got for free by doing dailies. If it works like that in Shadows, it'll probably just end up feeling more like just a delivery system for gear and cosmetics that either come later or don't fit diegetically within the world anywhere.

If you have it on steam it’s possible to launch steam in developer mode and use the command console to download an older version of a game. I used it for AC origins to revert back to a version of the game before they removed the heka chests.

Due to their financial situation Ubisoft has to be more transparent and customer friendly or else there is basically no hope left for them. That’s also the reason they are developing a new rayman and actually give a shit about their release for AC shadow and don’t just launch it in a broken state. Ubisoft will not improve for three reasons. 1. Sunk cost, this entire game is built on lies that they are in too deep to reverse without essentially rebooting the entire thing. 2. Ubisoft hasn't changed their behavior, they *say* they have, their actions haven't changed. 3. Ubisoft has missed every single opportunity to reverse course this year alone. From pre-release to post launch there has been consistently bad business practices and hiding information from customers including using certain creators to mislead and gaslight people. Ubisoft hasn't changed and cannot change as long as they remain as they are from the top down. They need full restructuring to even fix their problems let alone reverse course and even then as you said, they have no incentive to permanently improve as a company.

Ubisoft has consistently lied about this game and many of their games for years. Pattern recognition and learning from behaviors would lean towards skepticism and caution, as if there's a pattern of lying it's likely to continue to happen and there certainly is with Ubisoft. Ubisoft has lied about their monetization before, particularly with its final execution in-game, so logically, you should take what they say with a great deal of skepticism and wait to see how it actually plays out. Given how much Ubisoft has lied about this particular game it is reasonable for people not to believe them. Of course most of this is pretty obvious if you know Ubisoft... But there's always people ready and willing to say literally anything to defend Ubisoft even if it means denying reality and telling people to ignore pattern recognition and past behavior. And nothing should be more concerning then people telling you not to pay attention to patterns of behavior and past history.

if you like older AC games then you should try Mirage. Stealth is peak and parkour is decent with the city built around for stealth and parkour like the og games. It's also smaller and linear unlike the bloated open world rpgs they've been releasing recently. It gave me huge nostalgia and itched a certain part of my brain. Major flaw is it's combat but you rarely engage if you're playing stealthily and unlike Valhalla, all the guards in the world don't get alerted when a single guard sees you so you can deal with it more easily without ruining everything. Ubisoft Bordeaux quickly became my fav Ubisoft studio, they're a smaller team of dedicated devs that wanted to give fans an og experience and in my opinion they delivered. Can only hope Ubisoft gives them more money and time to develop older style AC games. I think an AC1 or AC2 remake by them would be absolute fire.

those projects will most likelly be more complex versions of ubisoft conect comunity chalanges. people forget we already had ubisoft conect giving rewards and points for weeklly and comunity quests. that from origins to valhalla we have daily quests and weekly quests. this is nothing new. at least this time i will probably get something that allows me to buy stuff i actually want. if im not mistaken the leak shows some items with prices in helix credits and some items with prices with animus credits/isu coins. and that the season pass has isu coins has rewards. my bet is that there will be a helix store but will have 2 prices, a premium real money price and a in game curency/ earnable curancy price just like unity. the battle pass will probably offer you enough to buy everything you want, or at least 1 or 2 of the packs ( in case you want everyone of the ugly outfits). there will also probably be events and other ways to get credits, maybe even with multiplayer. but for sure there will be a way to go arround. it still sounds bether than redas shop, at least i can do the pass all at once and not have to log in every day.

No single player game should have a battlepass free or no. If you listen to anything that IGN says, then please seek help. They'll probably call it the animus pass and say its no the same. Also, what was with the random out of - nowhere update to make Syndicate 60fps what about the others or were they trying to get us on their good side for 5 mins

Ngl I’m kinda rooting for the games downfall the idea of a samurai assassin creed game is cool and all but it’s one of those ideas that should stay on the board with a dash next to it saying doesn’t make much sense. Combined with the devs obviously not knowing anything about Japanese culture and not going out their way to try and learn they had this coming.

I think they are trying to make a more engaging version of their community challenge they have done in the past, making it more personalized to how long you play Vs everyone I guess? Not entirely sure its still stupid but at least its just incentive to play and doesn’t cost anything but your time, most battle passes ask for time and money
