2:22 in & I started watching this four hours ago. I had to stop because I was laughing so much. Thank you guys. I really needed this today. At the rate I’m going, I will finish this video tomorrow. Have you considered twisting the tape to make a rope & see if you need more or less layers? But leave the ends flat but spread apart a bit to wrap around the bars a couple of times to make the top stronger. If your abseiling you wouldn’t lay your rope down flat or looped round just once. Maybe you will reach your goals

I work in online orders for a department store and had a customer by 7 rolls of tape once that we IMMEDIATELY got suspicious of. Admittedly they also bought 1 white bed sheet, 5L of bleach, a ton of cleaning supplies, sunglasses, and 4 tubes of lube. I printed out that order and told my boss we should probably keep a copy of their details juuuuuuuuust in case something turned up on the news. The look on his face as he read through it was priceless.

Lots of fun, thank you! I wonder if it makes a difference to the tape's strength if you stagger the beginning and end, rather than it starting/ending in the same place. (Bows are laminated in this overlapping way for strength.) PS Theatre crews call it 'gaffer' tape and have been known to tape up people so they're suspended somewhere backstage. 🤣
