it's wonderful to see the very origins of ballet in this.

Love it as much as you like, but none of the staging or the dance is from the period. Some of the steps may be informed by verbal descriptions from late 17th and early 18th, but the spirit on display has more in common with Hollywood choreography than it can possibly have with that from Lully's time.

Ou sont les neiges d'antan? LOL! Love it as much as you like, but none of the staging or the dance is from the period. Some of the steps may be informed by verbal descriptions from late 17th and early 18th, but the spirit on display, but there is no original choreography for any of this, which has more in common with Hollywood -- with Busby Berkeley or Michael Jackson -- than it can possibly have with anything from Lully's time.

If they had transformed it as a Busby Berkeley or a Michael Jackson's choreography you would complain the same. Have you noticed that the dancers are not 17th century either ??😫
