Lulworth Cove & Stair Hole is located on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast in Dorset England.
Stair Hole is a small backwater behind the cliffs, where the sea has eroded through soft rock.
Perhaps given a thousand years it too will become a cove, and may join up with Lulworth Cove.
It demonstrates the early (in geological terms) process of how all the coves were formed along the Jurassic Coast.
