I'm looking for a mentor. Someone I can look up to with custom tutorials for specific projects. Right now, I'm trying to get a proper understanding of the tools in fusion and how I can manipulate them for my creative purpose.

Copying nodes to text editor and pasting them back on another composition?? That's witchcraft!!! (Dude! it really blew up my mind!!). This was probably the best Fusion tutorial for beginners I've seen, and it's not even a tutorial!!! Thanks!

Wow, I'm sold. I've been AE user for past 10-11 years, but with all these nonsense with CC subscription, slow and buggy software it's time for something new. The biggest problem is people don't know about this, I was sure there was no substitute for AE, I've heard about fusion, but I thought it's only for compositing (like nuke or something). Thank you for this video, I hope fusion becomes more popular and I still don't get how are they making it free. Where is the profit then?! :S

mind blown. I've tried Fusion when it was still by eyeon v2 and I loved the nodes approach since then thank you for this video amazing introduction

sweet!! I Love Fusion. And the cool thing is,...more and more people are making very good tutorials for it nowadays
@lenny_Videos7 жыл бұрын
Especially Vito La Manna from Con-Fusion makes very good tutorials . And as a bonus he is also very funny. I use fusion to make Funny kids videos for KZbin. I film myself in front of a green screen and composite myself into a 3d environment. And for something like that Fusion is awesome, cause with fusion it is great and easy to work in 3d space. And i don't need any plugin :-) What is your connection to Fusion?
@lenny_Videos7 жыл бұрын
I am not familiar with the point tracker yet .The kids video is on a different channel. But there is nothing new on it yet, Cause the last 2 and a half years i have been investing in creating a 3d scene and laying a good foundation so that i have a quick and solid workflow. Hopefully within 2 or 3 months i can put my 2nd video online. But it is going to be completely different then the first one i made. The first one i made in After effects and you can see that i didn't had many skills in Compositing at that time. You can find it if you type: zupaman. It is meant for kids between 2 and 5

Doing it now. Still kinda getting the hang of it. I've used Nuke in the past, and I love node workflows but the price of Nuke is prohibitive for me. I'm giving Fusion a chance and it looks pretty great, now I just need to learn all the nodes and experiment with them.
@TheJoaoMorgado7 жыл бұрын
I trying the free version for now, so I don't get the new trackers. But if I get a hang of it, I might get the studio version. The trackers do look great

Can we achieve the saber text effect in fusion? like we can do using saber plugin in after effects.
@asphaltandtacos5 жыл бұрын
The drawback is Fusion does not have basic shape tools like Motion or After Effects. If there is a chance Blackmagic can add these options I might migrate completely to Fusion otherwise After Effects still has its place. Still a nice video and great explanation.

Everything looks way more complex than doing the same in After Effects. While that probably makes it more powerful, the learning curve seems pretty daunting coming from the After Effects workflow.
@chrisnorth43206 жыл бұрын
It doesn't take that long really and you will discover quickly how Node based workflows can make many tasks easier (and what things are still best done in After Effects). Plus you're developing a skillset that will enable you to transfer to Nuke later if you want. There are macros and customization available to emulate much of the Nuke shortcuts and nodes.

@antonarap6 жыл бұрын
LumaForge that would be great
@arsh06036 жыл бұрын
We need a Andrew Kramer for Fusion After effects was forgotten program but VideoCopilot changed it totally and inspired millions of new users to use after effects, but Adobe killed CC almost because of the subscription model, now its time for Fusion to rise, otherwise Nuke and Adobe are going to dominate in the vfx and motion graphic world, Adobe is okay but Foundry is crazy priced tool. :)
@chosenideahandle6 жыл бұрын
Have you seen Thor, The Martian, Avengers Age of Ultron, Captain America Winter Soldier, Kingsman, Gravity, or White House Down? All composited in Fusion. It's been around for almost 30 years, you've seen tons of stuff done in Fusion. Andrew Kramer is great, but sub-comping layers out the yin-yang just to do what could so elegantly could be handled with a few nodes in Fusion or Nuke is kinda what he's stuck with now.

Nice Software, but no thanks ;) One by one, every person is trying to come up with new software, saying their product is easy, best, this and that but let me tell you something, true artist who were using autodesk and adobe like softwares from the beginning of their career they don't even give a damn about new so called easy softwares, we artists don't have any problem with subscription, buying additional tools for adobe etc.
@rano123212 жыл бұрын
Fusion has exited longer than AE and has been used in actual movies for compositing, unlike after effects which is mostly used for mograp but never in professional vfx.
@TriWaZe6 жыл бұрын
Seems pretty goofy imo but to each their own I guess. The material nodes in Cinema 4d were enough to pull my hair out. I'll stick with layer compositing where the world makes sense.
