As a Windows IT professional, server admin, etc... I am familiar with PowerPoint, and have been doing some title there. However, seeing this, my mind is thinking how to do this in PowerPoint to accomplish the same thing. Keynote isn’t a bad program, I use it to alpha remove backgrounds from images for my wife’s online business. Then with LumaFusion, and Davinci Resolve; my editing techniques are growing.
@gootschi77674 жыл бұрын
A good alternative. The problem though with this method if you have a lot of titles to make for multiple videos you will be switching back and forth between the two apps. It could be better if you have the option to just change the text within lumafusion but that one you need to create on your own as custom. Like with the defaults provided by lumafusion.
@ChrisWilmshurst4 жыл бұрын
Completely agree. Until LumaFusion implements proper basic editing tools like this with ease we'll have to rely on other programs. But, a solution to ease this issue is you can always save your keynote project and adjust them one after another and re-export. Similar to how you would with an after effects title or premiere pre-saved graphics profile.

If you click on the text you can add an animation to them just like the boxes. Then change the order to suit :)

Chris Wilmshurst the order part is where I'm getting confused, so if I'm not mistaken you could separate the box animation time with the text time. So I could get the same effect as you got in the last one u showed. Great tutorial. I am also looking to shift to an iPad Pro. However it is interesting that you are not using magic keyboard or a keyboard of any sort for typing and editing. Does that not hinder the speed?
@ChrisWilmshurst4 жыл бұрын
When filming tutorials I shoot without a keyboard as it's much easier for top down filming. When I do want to type out long pieces (off camera) I use my Keychron k2 or my Inateck case (both on reviewed on my channel) . However, I don't use my iPad Pro enough to warrant spending anywhere between £200-350 for an Apple Smartfolio or Magic keyboard, and it's honestly not that bad typing on the screen, i've got very used to it and I can touch type.
@sandeepraiphotography21114 жыл бұрын
Chris Wilmshurst thank you for the advice and the response. I was just thinking I can’t afford an iPad Pro and a magic keyboard for £300 extra. But if I can use just the iPad then I am more than happy plus I can get one with more memory I guess. Thanks once again.

@ChrisWilmshurst3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rob, thanks for the kind words. If you're exporting the movie from Keynote, make sure its frame rate is set to 60fps. This should take care of most stutters. if that doesn't completely fix it, try adjusting the timings of the effect.

Cool video, just one question when you select animation with text that is appearing, after importing, in Lumafusion there is no way to remove green tint on it. You can remove tint from full text, but not when effect is to appear text. Or is there any way? Played with chroma sliders but those just make text less visible and still don't remove tint when text is partially visible.
