Lumbar disc replacement (ADR) surgery | Instituto Clavel

This is a surgical procedure in which a degenerated lumbar disc is removed and replaced with a prosthetic implant to fulfill the functions of a healthy natural disc. In 90% of the patients we have operated on using this technique, their pain has been reduced and they quickly gain a significantly improved quality of life.
Thanks to medical advances, the prosthetic discs are highly resistant to wear and have a biomechanical behavior that is very similar to that of a natural disc. At Instituto Clavel, we are committed to this type of minimally invasive surgery, because in addition to being very safe, it yields good results for the patient.
