@@LizNess well attaching isn't working. A pity I love to share the 1970 pattern and the stipple circle both turned out so great! Happy to found you! I am a mom of 52 from the Netherlands police officer in day time and in the evening I'd like to draw and try out procreate.. hope you have a nice day ☺️ Celeste

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong the square won’t go solid black?
@LizNess3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I’m not 100% sure about what is happening for you. It may be the opacity setting of the layer or the color itself. And, if it isn’t either of those things it might be a memory glitch. Try closing the app and exiting it completely. Then, relaunch and see if that helps. One thing all of that might do is provide a bit more info to help you troubleshoot. Best of luck!

Is there a way to make this file seamless? Thank to so much for this! Very very helpful and detailed ❤️
@LizNess2 жыл бұрын
Thank you @Samantha Dawson for your question.🤗❤ The shape you make--before copying the canvas to create the texture brush--is a seamless tile and perfect for a repeat pattern. For example, the artwork at this point in the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qojXXp2dpKdjmJY TIP 1: Changing the background color will give a different look to it all. TIP 2: You can check how your tile will look as a repeating seamless pattern by dragging that top layer you made via Add > Copy Canvas and dropping it on the following page at my website here: pineconeandpencil.com/seamless/ Best wishes for pattern making fun!

Hi, great video thank you so much. Could you let me know how to achieve the texture base brush you use for the plaid?
@LizNess2 жыл бұрын
Sure. I used one from my free Essentials Brushes. However, you can follow this video to make your own texture and then brush stamp: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqS8mHyKj5ucd5Y Best wishes 🤗❤️

Ah..thank you so much for that, without it was looking super flat. I’m designing fabric so i really wanted it to have texture. I’ve been trying to find how to achieve the feeling if fabrics but with little success. Any further tips would be much appreciated. i’m used to working in Illustrator and photoshop, i’m still just discovering Procreate. Thank you so much again for your help and the great videos. really nice to follow. 🙏🏻

I cant find the subscribe as I went to the essentials and there is no "texture" category for brushes. I Dl'd the starts, essentials and shapes but they dont seem to match up with what you are doing in this vid. please help
@LizNess5 ай бұрын
Oops--sorry about that. You no longer need to subscribe to get the set--they are free 😊 Also, the brush set was updated and the diagonal textures are under the Essentials "Main Set" now. When you download the main set, it will show up in your brush inventory as ⁂ Essentials For '22. Enjoy! 🤗❤

I’m getting terrible overlap when I try to use the brush, even when using one single stroke. What am I doing wrong?? Everything Ive googled, setting wise, isn’t fixing it
@LizNess2 жыл бұрын
Oh no, I’m sorry it’s giving you trouble. Off the top of my head, I’m thinking it could be the Rendering Mode settings or the Grain’s Offset Jitter setting. (I’m not sure about the way in which it’s overlapping.) Good luck 🤗❤️

@@kaylab4698 That’s really weird. Is it possible to send an image my way, using the contact form on my site? www.pineconeandpencil.com If I can see what’s happening, I might be able to figure out what is going on with the settings. Also, what size is your canvas? Is it 12x12 at 300 DPI? That’ll help me, to help you, too.

I used your square shape but the color changes each time I use it, getting lighter then darker. Also, when I change the size it doesn't get bigger but lighter. I think my settings got messed up. I know it's a lot to ask, but could you send me the settings for the brush? If not, no big deal. Thanks!
@LizNess3 жыл бұрын
Sorry about the trouble. There are two things that occur to me. The first is that the brush is pressure sensitive (for the pencil) and using your finger to tap it onto the canvas (rather than the pencil) may work better. The second is the slider. It almost sounds like the opacity slider is at play in all of this. So, I’d double check that to be certain it is all the way up (opaque). Also, I’d be happy to share the brush settings, but I think it may be easier to reinstall the brush set (and delete the messed up version). Best wishes 🤗❤️

Hi, I've tried your tutorial step by step. But my diagonal lines are not visible. So its just plain plaid. Can you tell me what mistake that I did? I tried three times, the result is always the same. Many thanks in Advance!
@LizNess4 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry it’s not working out. I’m not sure what is up, but it may be the diagonals. There are two diagonal patterns and one is a lot bigger than the other. The bigger one is the one you want. Also, when painting the pattern (after it’s a new texture), the smaller it gets, the harder it is to see the detail. I hope this helps and that you find success. Please let me know if you do or if I can offer more help❤️

The sad thing. People learn nothing using brushes. They are often unsharp and it’s not the way to make patterns that work well
