Very well done! I helped a professor from UNCW work on teaching video editing with Lumbee youth's. We traveled from Wilmington and were invited into a family's home. They allowed myself and the professor to teach video editing skills. The youth's were able to make videos about why they are proud of their heritage! I was extremely moved and honored to have the opportunity to inspire and educate Lumbee youth's. I used to hang out with a local band from Pembroke called Dark Water Rising. I enjoyed my experience with the band members and will always cherish them! Glad Charly is doing well and staying true to the cause. Heritage is important and we are seeing a lot of chaos in America right now. Never forget the past and always learn from it. We are all Americans and it's the multicultural backgrounds of all American's that makes our country so unique. We have to preserve all people's heritage and pass tradition to future generations. What makes you think all Natives are dark skin, the old pictures, is the world is supposed to be dark skin vs light skin to you, what? The oldest photos are "blue-light sensitive" which makes the color red, reddish brown or maroon appear very dark while it makes the color blue appear very light. So a Native with a tan usually has a reddish brown skin tone, so of course they're going to look darker in a photo from a blue-light sensitive camera.

And guess what else? Half of the Native Population are mixed blood in North America. In fact most Blacks and Whites are mixed race. What are the Natives supposed to run out the mixed light skin Natives? Might is well run out the Natives who are mixed with Black too while you are obsessing about skin color. Full blood Natives can by any shade of brown or reddish brown depending on the region of the Americas. Tropical Natives living in warm humid or tropical climates tend to be dark skinned. Northern Natives tend to be light brown to medium brown. All Natives can have a reddish brown tan during the summer months. If you want to get into phenotype, well than the tropical Natives usually have wide nostrils or broad nose, while the northern Natives have a more narrow nose. Then we have the plains Natives and some Amazonian Natives who always seem to be confused with Asians. Does that answer any of your concerns and questions?

Well Native americans can be light or dark depends on the specific region they’re from bc some are from colder or hotter areas. Also a lot of us that are native have some white ancestry bc of colonization so that can add to why some are lighter.

That s because for thousands of years the Indigenous America(s) were and still are Melinated People {i.e. the Washington Redskins original Indian logo, the color crayon Indian Red was banned and changed by caucasions in U.S., Websters Dictionary 1828 "American"} tells you the difference between the Originals and the $5 dollar Indians that you see now in Americas! Blessings!!! I worked for years with the late Charles Oxendine who first told me he was "Indian" Lumberton, North Carolina. I have picture of him.
