Hi Lill - for machine embroidery quilting I use embroidery thread - like Floriani in the top and bobbin, but really you can use whatever you choose. The quilting doesn't have the stress of a seam so you can use polyester or cotton. If I didn't want the quilting to stand out as much I would pick something with less of a sheen than the embroidery thread has, but with all the pretty patterns we have might as well let it stand out!

Hi Sheri - if you have a Luminaire it projects the image of the snowman right on the fabric for you!
