Let us know if you are using Luminar or Lightroom!

I have been using Lightroom for years, last year switched to Luminar Neo, and gotta say, pretty happy about it. Luminar ai is amazing. :)

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Every time I use NEO I am always more impressed with the results

I switched from Lightroom to Luminar Neo a few months ago. Despite it being a little bit buggy at times, it is WAAAYYYY more fun to use and far more intuitive. And I don't find myself forgetting how to use certain functions like I would in Lightroom.

Is it true that with Luminar Neo you can not do a batch rename of your files?? Tnx.

This is great! I love that you actually went through and edited in both applications as opposed to just showing the final product.

Glad it was helpful! Yes, I thought it would be best to show the entire process in both softwares

I subscribed to Luminar Neo and have been impressed over and over again. Your video was very enlightening and again reinforces my satisfaction with using Luminar. I enjoy your videos because of how you relate information in a way that I can apply immediately.

I have Luminar 4 and just recently subscribed to Luminar Neo. So far, I love Neo. Your video also provided me with more guidance on its features and use. I haven't used Lightroom, but glad I decided to go with Neo for my photo editing. Thanks for the video.

I have been using Luminar over a year now and im very happy with the results. My only beef I have is that learning all the actions takes longer than with Lightroom. Over all I like Luminar hands down
@LandscapePhotographyUniversity11 ай бұрын
Nice! Yeah it’s tough to make the switch sometimes but when you get it down it’s faster
@HadleyHope11 ай бұрын
You did add a preset to get you going with Luminar. I have found that the preset previews can be so slow to show if you have more than half a dozen in the same category.
@LandscapePhotographyUniversity11 ай бұрын
Yeah they can take a little while to load. It’s a lot of processing in the background

Would love to see a comparison between Luminar Neo and ON1 Raw 2024. Also, I found the background music while you were talking very distractive and irritating.

I’ll look into doing that!

Luminar Neo, buy once cry once > LR subscription based. Plus, Adobe spys on you
@karlikmichal26994 ай бұрын
I think that Luminar is easier to learn and work with, but at the end Lightroom is far away. If you learn more of how things work in Lr, you do more specific and clear work. However it needs a lot of time to learn how Lightroom, photography editing and colours editing works. So at the end, Lightroom here is better, if you want to be better in final and consistent editor. Maybe also if you want to do better photos with your camera. More Ai futures is at the start point in profi editind really bad idea, for me, with full respect to others. But, if you don’t have time and you are hobby person, I really like how Luminar works with this point of view.

I think if there is any difference, it is so small that to learn another post processing software program isn't warranted. I have been using Lightroom forever. With a little tweaking, I feel they would be identical. I don't really think you would see any difference in a print.
@LandscapePhotographyUniversity Жыл бұрын
The thing about printing is that it magnifies any differences a significant amount. So if the difference is minimal on a screen, it's significant in a print
@sanfordradom9945 Жыл бұрын
I still feel that if the image is adjusted properly (as you want it) in your post processing software, the print will also be as you want it regardless of the software used. Poor post processing will yield a poor print regardless of the software used.@@LandscapePhotographyUniversity

10:28: "it always make my photos look a little bit better if I add a little of that 'pop' in there" 13:20 "The lightroom version is a little bit more blue than I would like" I want to scream at my screen. :D I too am looking for a lightroom replacement, if I can find anything. So far, I think I will be paying for another year. Especially the seperate human masks in lightroom are so good.

You have a great gift to teach. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I use Lightroom an NEO and have a question about transferring files. I usually start my edits in Lightroom and then send the Lightroom file to NEO for additional edits. Is it possible to start in NEO and then send to Lightroom? If it is possible, how can I do this? Thanks for your help.
@LandscapePhotographyUniversity Жыл бұрын
Yeah! You just right click in LR and select edit in Neo. Once finished in Neo just hit apply and it will save that file back in LR

My biggest problem with the modern offerings are the lack of taking a good shot to begin with. Most of what these do is geared toward the Phone Bubble brains. I just want to SEE life how it Looks.

I think I’ll be doing the opposite. Adobe customer support is abysmal and now they want access to all of my work. I’ve been a “professional “ LR user for the past 10 years. Time for something else.
