He says he can't get comfortable with any other character, which I think leads to a lot of his resentment for ZSS because he feels stuck with her. He tried to make Joker work and it just never did.

He doesn't like to use other characters competively. She's not a bad character, its just for whatever reason, the nerfs she got early in the game's life screwed up most of her hit boxes which now cause major inconsistencies. I can't even play her anymore like I could at launch, that watching Marss play I can literally see what he's thinking when some attacks should've landed but don't and the ones that do you ask yourself "why did that land?" Or "that should've killed". She's literally a broken character, that Sakurai never fixed after her initial nerf.

@@ArclinusCastoral I switched to ZSS cause she was cool and now I suck with all of my old characters lol. She plays in such a unique way that you really can't be good at her AND other top tiers

@@haydenbennett3547 people exagerate over the nerfs, sure they were bad, but ZSS is bad for a reason since day 1, her moves dont work, fair, side b, upsmash, upb, flipckick, flipjump footstool, all are moves that can miss on hit

Gets hit by shine, hitstun get canceled by the edge of the stage, airdodges into the stage to grab ledge, jumps into the stage, wall jumps, throws out side b to snap the ledge, tether cancel, and flip kick to stage all in like 2 seconds. And also does roughly the same thing at 4:25 lol

zss was bad yesterday but today marss played out of his mind e. g. the games against shadic putting it all in last hit situations just to get let down by the character but thank god he clutched that. get back on the joker or greninja or sth it just hurts to watch the character not keeping up with the player

Yes. That’s not how that works. Marss isn’t this good in spite of ZSS, he’s this good BECAUSE of ZSS. He found a character and a style that works for him and he’s spent his career in the game polishing that style, ever since smash 4. The reason his results have taken a hit is because that style isn’t as potent as it used to be. There’s no guarantee he’d be better with a completely different style or character, especially considering ZSS plays wildly different from basically every other character in the game.
