I feel like not including a builtin charging port or a magnetic charger was a mistake. I understand they are targeting the keychain market but there are plenty of tiny keychain lights on the market that have usbc ports.

in order to make the most compact powerful Keychain light some design sacrifice need to be made. any type of internal charging just adds to size. if you want those features integrated then you just need to look for a larger light. I'm still going back and forth between this and the gt nano. that's why I'm rewatching these reviews.

One thing that I think needs to be mentioned is that when charging only half of the circular light actually lights up. I was worried mine might be faulty at first but after watching reviews realised that it is perfectly normal. The difficult part is having to charge it when you first get it out of the box! I wanted to use it straight away but had to be patient and wait a couple of hours for it to be fully charged. Great little lights though! Incredibly powerful!

Will the 10440 tube make the Frog able to use regular AAA alkalines, NiMH, or non-rechargeable lithiums? Or does it need a 4.2 volt battery to function at all?

I was disappointed with the frog. I just got the gt nano. loved it enough to get the frog. I don't know why, but I ASSUMED it was cool white. there was no option on Amazon for anything else. the frog isn't as bright as the rovyvon a7x. at least to the eye. the nano seems much brighter too. maybe I need time to get used to neutral white? I got the extension tube and batteries coming in 2 days. maybe I'll try that out before deciding. thanks for your vids. I need to look for one of those battery packs you use.

Until recently I kept away from warm color temperatures below 6000k for the reason you mention, cool white reflects more light Similar to why green appears brighter than red at the same power level

These flashlight companies really need to understand that producing flashlights with unique charging ports and options makes the flashlight undesirable. I just want a flashlight where I can plug in a USBc anywhere in the world and charges, nothing more complicated than that.

Im so confused 😂 also, three clicks and after doesn't do anything except for the 7clicks to turn off button light. Three clicks and above is not even mentioned in the manual. Its another version I guess.

I own this light. The output is amazing for a keychain light, but its runtime is poor as one would expect with a 10180 cell. Also, I've noticed that it has a constant dim locator led in the switch which bleeds the battery over time. I would recommend you slightly unscrew the head to turn it off.

Hi. Thank you for all your videos. I liked the look of this initially. However, the lack of built-in charging kills it FOR ME - I appreciate it will be ideal for other people. Both the Sofirn and Olight equivalents have built-in charging plus I carry a couple of spare 10180s in a pill tube on my keychain so I have the best of both worlds - in situ charging and/or battery replacement. Granted I can still carry spare 10180s with this light but, you know, I'd still rather ALSO have the built-in charging capability as I am often topping off my cells at work for my Sofirn equivalent from my work PC :-) Thanks again and keep up the good work! This thing blows away the i1r2. Same size pretty much also. Just carry the charging end with the 2 extra batteries problem solved lol. Mines on a 10440 and lasts all day so I just charge it at night here and there.

No Sofirn or Olight equivalent. They got small lights but this one is a Narsil light, a whole different world. With 10440 tube a different universe.
