Lumion 10 VS Enscape 2.8 Render Comparison

In this video I'm rendering the same scene in both Lumion 10 and Enscape 2.8
I tried to use custom materials in both renderers and imported objects from 3D warehouse in order to make an apple to apple comparison.

A pro vray user can produce more realistic photos than pro enscape user.

@@seaslug7421 At the end of the day, the client will not notice the difference. they won't even care if it's rendered in Vray, Thea, Lumion, Enscape, Corona, Max, etc.

Great job and nice comparison! I like how Enscape reflects things as they supposed to whereas in Lumion you'd need to manually assign the surfaces to be reflective. I think you nailed both but I just noticed the tabasco sauce is floating..

I use both Enscape and Lumion with Revit. Exterior rendering is better in lumion than Enscape. But Lightings of Revit are not needed to reassign in Enscape, so I use Enscape in night view rendering.

Enscape way more better for realistic interior or small building rendering.( lumion lack of reflections features) And Lumion is better to use for render urban or large landscaping projects and Lumion have better animations assets.

Lighting in Lumion always seems too hard edged and harsh to me. Both softwares seem great to me and i think it's all about how u manipulate those bump maps to get more realistic material surfaces but once you add lighting in Lumion it sets it off. Great video, just learned a lot.

Enscape Interior: better Lumion Interior: sooo bad Enscape Exterior: good Lumion Exterior: excelent I mean really, lumion sucks at interior. Its a very heavy program but they can’t fix their lighting and materials for interiors. Overall Enscape is more flexible. Speed, user friendly, easy to use, and file size is so light. Imagine what it can do in future updates. And It can do both good exterior and interior while lumion only exerts at exterior.

@@MostafaLamey both programs work well. I only use Lumion but have seen high quality renders with Enscape for interiors. Lumion has better nature objects and landscape stuff though, from what Ive seen.

actually, is all about how the renderer master the software and how details you want to go, some technics and skills really have kept try and try few times. For me both are software are fine.

its obvious that this vid is for enscape, you claimed that you are using lumion for 5 years now but it seems you dont know how to lumion 10, you applied lighting with too much brightness, you did not use the effects effectively, obviously you dont know lumion 10. enscape is good also,but when it comes to time i think nothing can beat lumion as of this moment.

Let me try to explain this in steps. On sketchup hit the enscape tab then scroll down to enscape material, and when you select the specific material. All the information should pop up and texture should be there and click the plus sign for albeto.

I have a nvidia 940 2gb and twinmotion runs perfectly on it and now i want to buy a new Laptop i am not sure because lumion say' s on the website that the minimum should be 6gb graphic but your's is running good on 4gb so what would you recommend? And could it happen that you need to wait like 1 hour or more for a rendering on lumion because it is not a real time renderer like twinmotion or enscape? I am V-ray + 3D Max + Cinema 4D user and only with Enscape i can do depending my textures, lighting, settings and Photoshop almost same reality... Enscape, Lumion and Twinmotion looks still as plastic... but the customer has good idea about his home... When there is no time to make a render I use Enscape... and Sketchup. Anyone can work with it and appoint himself as professor of architecture, haha

And whatever you do with Lumion, it will never be able to replicate the quality of interior renders done with ray tracing.. And there is really no good excuses for not being at the ray tracing now, except not putting down the effort to do it.
