My wife and I saw Luna Li as a solo artist at Catalina's in Peterborough about 5 years ago. It was a wonderful, magical performance, and it was really nice to see her again here on KEXP.

Great Ears KEXP!!!!! Thanks for this unique heads up! LOVE THIS GROOVE!! Been composing jazz mostly for many decades. …. Love the tenderness, harmonic thoughtfulness and space!! Just found these wonderful musicians about an hour ago!!!! 1) Luna’s vocals, song writing is ENCHANTING!! 2) Sabrina’s bass is MYSTICAL! 3) Char’s keyboard is BLISSFUL! 4) Vania’s drums are INSPIRED! Every song had its OWN LANE! I remember in the 60’s listening to the BEATLES for the first time….. the goosebumps then….. are the goosebumps now!…. Highly original!! Luna Li has found the place where her melody resides. Literally, EVERY SONG FOUND A HOME…….CLAIMED ITS TERRITORY! ………… very rare treat!! Just found the new album : I “ DUALITY “ . Looking forward to leaning in tonight with some headphones!!!…… not these earbuds. Luna Li…….. your parents walked you up to the pool of your musical curiosity ………… and you dove in……. ……… head first!! The universe sent you your band members…. How cool!
