I noticed in this video Luna is speeding up about two strides from the jump. Is this a habit for her because it seems to mess up her distance to the jump. But when she finds the striding right, she is an adorable jumper! Ps, when she tripped you weren't even fazed, you just kept riding! Awesome job!

Just a thought maybe you could try free jumping in your indoor arena. Let Luna figure the striding out herself. It might help her with her jumping. I had to do that with my horse because he needed to figure striding out on his self with out my fiddling with his striding

I am jealous that you have friends that can help you with your riding like that. I'm the only one at my barn cuz it's a private barn and when I do ride with someone they either don't help me or they don't know enough to. I also don't really have a trainer lol. Bet it's nice. It's like a free lesson from your best friend.

You guys are my inspiration! After seeing the thumbnail to one of your videos in the recommended section on KZbin, I just though, "Oh it is probs just another typical ores channel...." But then after watching videos I WAS IN LOVE. I have been rising English for five months now and I am almost about the height that you guys are jumping! Well I am still not as good as a rider as you guys but I'm getting there! :)

since luna seems to have a small difficulty trying to figure out striding,you should try and see a stride about 3 strides out and whem u see the stride make sure that thats the stride she jumps on by shortening, lengthening etc.it will help her alot

You don't deserve the hate you get Maya! Luna is a big horse, and she's a lot of horse! So of course she's going to get powerful but you can ride her super well! All though you guys got going fast, you weren't out of control! If you were, there's no way you would've gotten over those jumps! Kudos to you!

I'm trying really hard to sit in my canter,and not bounce around but I'm finding it really difficult. I just can't do it! It's really frustrating me because I'm trying my hardest but I'm still bouncing up,and down. Do you have any advice or tips?

HorseyGirl500 youre supposed to have your legs under you in line with your hip usually but if you are having problems sitting the canter then try pushing your leg a bit forward and keep your shoulders back so youre not collapsed. try also moving your hips and stomach with the movement and not your leg or entire body as that can cause you to collapse in your position and bounce around. also try keep the canter at a slow steady pace especially as youre still learning to sit it. as you progress you can use a more powerful canter to go forward into jumps. hope this helped somehow

My instructor told me to relax my upper body at first. It is like a hoolahoop motion except just back and forth. I picked it up within a month. You will get it soon! Just keep trying!😘

HorseyGirl500 I have been struggling with this problem for a while now and only a 3 months ago did I finally get it right! :) I just found that (I take lessons) its easier and harder on different horses. Try relax and move with the saddles movement. When you keep your legs firm on the horse it gives you more grip which will give you move balance once you have more balance you can do what I said above about moving with the saddle. Hope this helped :) x

(just something I noticed) you shouldn't cluck her to the jumps all the time, because with the smaller jumps, you can see her rushing and surging towards them and cantering on her front. She looks fabulous at the larger heights! You should just strengthen your leg to the higher jumps and hold her to the lower ones.

I know you have a trainer and I don't want to step on any toes but maybe talk to them about helping you to get her to much more from her backend. That will make her use her back more and carry herself over the jump instead of dropping her head and "pulling" herself over it. It will be WAAAYYY more comfortable for you and won't be pushed out of the saddle. :) She looks amazing though!! Great job!!
