Luna's Howl is one of the greatest, but has one flaw imo

It's bad on console too if you are HC player. Hcs go up and to the side essentially giving you vision of the enemy this one goes up and towards you and it hides the enemy. I got used to it and can perform but i instantly do better with adaptives.

When I first started destiny it isn't a problem, but as I got better in crucible, the lack of a reticule throws off my precision aiming bad enough considering the bouncy recoil of HC that I am often whiffing my shots. If I need to bring a hand cannon into PvP, it must either be a precision frame, or has very high stability like the Kept Confidence with invisible hand

@@HibiscusOrchid hell before stability affected flinch resustance, I intentionally kept my 110/120 hc's as low stability as possible so I could whip it off and back onto target. Now I shoot for ~35 stability on them to balance between flinch and bounce.

Fun fact! If you get a 3 tap and have the seasonal perk the gives radiant on precision hits (or any other way to proc radiant), you can 2 tap with one stack of mag howl up to 6 resil

I have an idea. What if you pair Luna's howl with Malediction. You get a kill with Luna's howl with the Magnificent howl perk, reload the gun, get the stack. Because you've got that kill with Luna's howl, it will proc Harmony on Malediction. Swap to Malediction, fire the harmony shot, and then swap back to Luna's howl with the mag howl stack and still be able to get the 2-shot kill, thus continuing the chain. I think below 8 resilience Guardians. Correct me if I'm wrong. Hunters may have more leverage with this due to Lucky pants. And if you don't have the harmony perk active, being radiant will still work.

honestly if you struggle with luna’s on mnk it’s pure skill issue, it’s super solid on both inputs and at the end of the day yall just aren’t used to precision frames. That’s all it is, it’s the most consistent recoil pattern for a hc hands down

originally I wasn't big on precision frame recoil as an M&K player but weeks before Luna's dropped picking up Not Forgotten I was really liking it, and I think a big reason why is because I've been using 120 scouts recently and precision frame recoil kicks closer to how a scout does than a hand cannon does, Brave Luna's easily my favourite energy hand cannon now though it helps my current HC build is a radiant chaining one and it's solar

I would not use Mag Howl unless you're intentially trying to make it an Ace of Spades you can pull out any time for a 2/1. Rather, Precision Instrument is pound for pound best fo dueling, as it will extend your range fallout AND give you 2 head 1 body with a surge with Radiant. Eye of the Storm helps within the duel, and Encore is there for the stat junkies.

I been using nf/luna but in between each shot I flick up to the right a little bit to artificially simulate a regular 140 so I can actually SEE wtf I’m shooting at. It’s a hassle but it does work if you’re good enough

Something about having grinded lunas and NF but now they are soon to be sunrisen and also we got a reissued luna. also Austringer still being bis hc is so funny. Nonthing can be better unless they change it's stats.

How does he slide through and kill this guy at 6:30? Like years ago when I used to try that I would always get stuck in the barricade. Can you just slide through now? I know he loses health but then gets it back from reaper but how does he get through? Is this a viable play to make if a titan is camping behind their barrier(probably would be bad if they’re waiting with a shotgun right behind lol). Not only was I shocked by him getting through and killing him, but I was shocked by cammy’s aggressiveness😂

Got gold Luna's, got slizeshot heal clip & magnificent howl Incondescent. Perfect roll for me. I use Worm Husk heal clip magnificent howl dodge reload vigilance fragment recuperation powerful attraction. There precision frame's intrinsic also adds 25 AE making Luna's the best HC from the air. Not a HC fan, Luna's Howl is just working for me.

Zen moment doesn’t actually give any stability, it simply reduces the visual reticle bounce as well as giving anti-flinch

You should try Luna's with Precision Instrument, It extends your range due to the damage increase for every shot.

If you have Full Bore, Ricochet Rounds, Encore and Precision Instrument with a Range Master Work you will have no problem hitting 36m 3 taps... Fun Fact with this exact roll i just called out you get 71 Range on Luna's this means your matching Not Forgotten's range it to has 71 range.

I don't understand. Watching the footage there is no problem with tracking the targets. You often find the weirdest thing to get annoyed about. This is the Shayuras sway all over again. I respect it but I don't understand it at all.

As an M&K player I vouch for Cammy. A regular 140 kicks back and gives you full visibility of your targets movement. Luna's frame covers your target completely between shots, which blinds you for a significant amount of time. It makes the difference when playing tryhards who duck, bob and weave as hard as they can, especially ones with SMGs. Cam even showed the footage making a direct comparison on visibility. You're either ignorant or blind. He does say that a controller doesn't care for the blindness because of the free reticle friction drag it gets with a little down tension. But on M&K its a genuine blind spot and a liability every, single, time you fire this thing. That's why the gameplay footage in Iron Banner was on controller. If you aren't using Luna for its natural 45 AE, then you're better off with a different handcannon on M&K.

It may just be me, but god I hate how this gun feels. I haven’t used the old one since they changed its fire rate and making it a 140 but keeping the precision recoil pattern ruins the feel of the gun to me. The weapon kick doesn’t match its fire rate anymore and it just feels bad.

i'm not a fan of this rework, it's cool and all, but I thought the identity of Luna's Howl was the ultimate dueling hand cannon. In it's original form, mag howl made it the ultimate dueler by allowing a super fast neutral ttk assuming you land those first two headshots. After it was reworked into a 150 and eventually a 140, mag howl maintained its identity as a dueler by switching the focus from neutral lethality, to consistency. This change makes it more of a kill chaining weapon, and less of a dueler. Personally i'll probably end up focusing on getting an eye of the storm opening shot luna's howl in order to fulfill that fantasy, but I might grab the slideshot mag howl to try it out.

It’s really not that bad, no offence but it’s a skill issue, I beat a player who was crouch strafing and had a rose with 14000 kills, lunas is a great gun and the recoil animation has a high skill ceiling.
