Many people who covered LUNA SEA and SUGIZO's songs made a big mistake. Sugizo is a legato player. He slides alot. Basically, he plays guitar like violin. When you try to play his solos or riffs with staccato fingering technique, its wrong and doesn't sound right. Legato + sliding, NO staccato. And Sugizo NEVER use e-bow for LUNA SEA's song. LOVELESS is supposed to be just repeated delay + sustainer guitar pickups, and sliding.

In my opinion, he doesn't always play legato. He plays various ways as needed. I'm not a perfect player, as you know. I copy LUNA SEA's songs just for fun, so you don't have to worry about my way. l always respect them and try my best when l play their songs. I hope you are the same. By the way, I know that he doesn't use E-bow for Loveless, I purposely used it. Because I wanted to show my followers that I could play the song without sustainer. Finally, you said SUGIZO has never used E-bow for LUNA SEA's songs. That's wrong. SUGIZO (and INORAN) used it for some songs when they recorded until "EDEN". He said the sound was fatter than using the sustainer. It was written in a magazine "GIGS".

@@kurostcaster Hey man, I am not criticizing you. Just sharing a general opinion. Your playing is great! Just that, in my opinion, every guitarists have their own style and nuance, and these contributes to their creative intent alot. So, it's also important to note that. Playing them in a different style changes the tonality and how they originally expressed themselves. Some people thinks Sugizo's guitar solos are very plain and simple. Fact is, because people try to play his stuff note by note, staccato style. Sugizo's solos are evidently more towards the melodic side. He is primarily a violin player before learning the guitar and he is influenced by Steve Vai as well. His violin foundation and legato style developed his unique way of playing and writing his melodies. These people who said his stuff is easy is as good as insulting his musicianship. Hence I am very particular about the way how some people play his stuff.

@@peterpang5759 I think if you really want to share your opinion, it's important to be more specific. There are 22 songs on this video. which song do you think "staccato style"? If your opinion is agreeable, I would try to practice it. Any constructive opinions are welcome.
