lunar clubman ck 2020 review

Lunars Clubmans for 2020 get a new interior and if your a Clubman buyer that may be a good thing or not. I reckon its given them a lift but no solar panel is standard though

I think there are some really good design features and I am excited for the future of this brand. I like the full length drying rail in shower, drawers in cupboard, sliding door to bathroom, ample workspace with a really good sized extension flap. I don’t mind a modern interior but this one does look very pale, a bit more work needed on that I think. The British skies are often grey already so I wouldn’t want to match that with a grey feel inside, colours need to be in the warm spectrum (in my opinion). I think preparing the caravans for auto levelling and solar panels is good as I would want those features and a tracker. I wish the manufacturers would find a way of fitting in a 5ft wide island bed - that would be the clincher for me!

Great comments Karen, I look at many tourers and their are great ranges such as Swifts Sprite range which are excellent-but Lunar have some good ideas .

I quite like the more modern interior but I thought the video was in black and white it was so grey and pale. Need to add colour through out to brighten it up. Also the bathroom partition wall on the kitchen side seemed to be completely bare (?) I have this layout with a Swift Challenger 480 and I have a shelf with a textured wall lining above plus a mirror. Makes a real difference. And no solar panel or soft close drawers ........at this price range? It will be interesting to see the price as they do seem to have cut corners in terms of fixtures and fittings. That being said, good luck to them and really glad they’re back on their feet

Is there any more news about the availability of 2020 models? Just been to the NEC show and did not see any Lunar models on show.

Hi Andrew, first time I came across your channel, so you have a new sub, I am of a certain age, I remember the early caravans when they were hardboard outside & in, with gas Tilly lamps, modern caravans are better, but I have had a look at swift elegance Grande 850 because of its layout, to be honest between the entry level & top of the range its all the same materials ! fit & finish leaves a lot to be desired ? given the 850 is the best part of £35,500 no self levelling system for that money, buccaneer same money with levelling system but not the same layout !! they don't seem to be screwed together very well! very flimsy! Hi Wayne and thank you for subscribing-yes i know what you are saying on the Swift, also i thnk they need a revamp inside and also the Challengers to. The Buccaneer is a nice van and has some good kit. I think the Sprite brand is the best value and would have one if funds allowed. - i also love the older tourers, lots of charm and all different too!
