Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year, Hoa. Its so nice to see your family it really is. The customs are so very different in Vietnam than it is here in the states. And although you are ALWAYS working so hard its nice to see you taking a much needed break from always building something. You made a great decision to be living in your village and closer to your family. Also having electricity, running water is a huge plus as well. I also really appreciate the captions because of course I do not know the language. I don't know what Banh Chung is so I looked it up on the internet. Wow its a Vietnamese traditional food cooked at the New Year celebration with family. The tradition goes back a long way. Different areas of Vietnam have differences in the preparation, size and even the wrappings. It looks like its cooked for hours. The ingredients I found look basically identical to what you and your Mom are preparing, Hoa. I burn incense sticks daily they're purchased from the Far East. Over the years I've probably burned at least 50,000 sticks. Finally I sincerely appreciate you sharing a part of your life with us. You're a very unique soul, Hoa.
