Oh, the `reload` function is a nice touch! It'll be nice to get rid of my own hack for that part. I assume this is a custom addition in LunarVim? Is it using plenary?

I don't think we're using plenary, for now it's lunarvim specific.

Hey chris@machine thank you for the videos - I am learning some vim basics while getting familiar again with Arch. Can't take my eyes off of Lunarvim since the moment I saw it. My question is: do you recommend starting out with vim -> neovim -> lunarvim, or could one just go with final set up lunarvim? I am a React developer addicted to vscode, but I know with time I can be much more effective with something like lunarvim.

I would say skip vim, install neovim and lunarvim. Then play around with lunarvim, see what's possible and get some ideas, while building up your own neovim config. After that you'll be able to decide whether or not maintaining a config is worth it for you, if nopt then lunarvim would be a good choice. I would also install the vim plugin for vscode when you need to go back to it. Also make sure you go through vimtutor and ideally the primeagens vim series.

Greetings, I have installed a basic version of LunarVim/nvim-basic-ide that is in your repositories, I have also tried lvim, I have added some plugins, among all the neovim configurations that I have seen, the first one that I mentioned is the one that I like the most I liked it, but I have a problem, when I create a javascript file, the language server does not start until I create a package.json file, in the autocompletion it only offers me the snippets, I would like that when creating the JS file it starts the server without creating the .json file, I installed typescript and typescript-language-server globally to see if LSP would start from that root but it doesn't, I would like your help please.

@@be_cracked8212 Sir like in vim it looked .vimrc and in neovim either it looked init.vim or init.lua by default. How did he change to look at config.lua instead of init.lua as the main file. I hope it clarified.

@@bhaveshverma8629 What he is showcasing here is LunarVim. It is a sort of wrapper around neovim that sets a lot of things up for you. If you want to know how he loaded a specific config file you can look at the source code for LunarVim. Just search for LunarVim. You can however tell neovim to load a specific config file on startup with a startup option if that's all you want to do. Then you can just search for the neovim startup options/flags.
