One of the things I like about cats is that their behavior is pretty uniform. People don’t think of them as domestic animals they same way they do dogs (and there are some good reasons for this 🙂) but most cats, if they’re raised around people, well-treated & well-fed tend to be pretty chill. Cats are a lot more powerful than dogs pound-for-pound, of course, and big cats dwarf the largest canines, so you always have to respect them, but I honestly don’t see that much difference behavior-wise between a panther like Luna & an energetic domestic cat. Scale matters, of course! This works both ways, of course. My seven pound tortie, Murka, gets over-excited when she’s playing sometimes. She bites a little too hard sometimes when she plays with my other cat (and me.) It’s no big deal. I just put her into kitty timeout for a few minutes & give her some time to chill out. If Murka were Panther-sized, however, this would be a VERY big deal. If Murka was panther-sized & be much more concerned about her biting the hand that feeds her…😉 Just goes to show how well-trained Luna is. She understands that she’s a lot bigger & stronger than her human her non-playmates & knows not to rough-house too much. Taking responsibility for a big cat is a huge responsibility & there are very good reasons why my country (the US) has strict laws regarding the ownership of big cats. That said, it’s still awesome seeing Luna out & about with her family, living her best life & being a happy, playful giant putty-tat. 🙂❤️ (On a related note, if you have a chance, you might want to check out Dolph Volcker’s channel. He’s a KZbinr/big cat conservationist who mostly works with cheetahs. Cheetahs, interestingly, are arguably the least aggressive & most sociable of the big cats. It’s an evolutionary adaptation. Cheetah’s share space on the African Savannah with lions, hyenas & leopards. If you’re a cheetah & these guys are your neighbors & competitors for prey you learn the value of de-escalation pretty quickly.)

With cats, everything’s just a matter of scale. 😁 I’ve had house cats (mostly former street cats) that were more aggressive than Luna. If a five, or six or seven kilo kitty gets over-excited when he or she’s playing it’s no big deal. Maybe I get some scratches & have to stick my cat in another room for a few minutes while he chills out. If that same cat weighs 50 or 60 or 70 kilos it’s a much bigger deal if he gets in the habit of biting the hand that feeds him. 😉

I'm amazed by seeing her grow. She's almost in peak physical condition now, soon fully grown. Compare her with Venza now and 8 months ago. The difference in physique. I'm not disrespecting the beautiful Rottweiler Venza here, she's also powerful and she's got a natural stamina Luna never can achieve. She's a dog and she's bred by humans to fill a purpose, with many great attributes. But Luna is bred by nature itself; the power, the pace the agility, the grace of a Leopard is on a different level. Venza can only dream about catching up with her now. Luna could probably run 60 km/h now over a short distance and jump 10 feet up in the air, take a look at; 3:55 how she with absolutely no effort can jump 6 feet over a grown man, she can climb better than a housecat and her reflexes are fast like lightning . It's mesmerizing to see her move around. Evolved into pure perfection. Thank you so much Luna and Venza's mom for sharing her upbringing with us for free.

If Luna was like that, Vika wouldn't adopt her in the 1st place. Not every animal can be tamed. They liked each other rightaway. Vika chose Luna, but Luna chose Vika as well. Luna's personality's very soft and kind-hearted. And if she adopted 2 leopards, none of them would probably be as tame as Luna, because they would communicate with each other mostly, not humans and would be very unpredictable. So it's one of the reasons why they don't want breed Luna - there's huge risk that none of her cubs would inherit her good personality. She's one of a kind.

In 1972 in my hometown, a panther escaped ZOO. About two days after it was located in an apartment complex and sadly shot, which was very unnecessary as it could have been darted instead. Luna looks so much like this beautiful cat, and it warms my heart everytime I watch you guys giving your animals so much love ❤️ Merry Christmas and Happy New year from us in Denmark ❤️❤️

It was tired, shy and scared after two days on the run 😪😪 And all the 'people' hid behind closed doors anyways... So sad, poor cat.
